starts Wednesday 14th of Feb 14:00 CE
ends Wednesday 21st of Feb 14:00 CET
crop is Foxglove = 5 hr crop you will get 10 seeds to start
can ONLY BE GROWN ON 3 MAIN LAND FIELDS!!!
drop is Fingerless Gloves drops come from crops, trees, stables and workshops ON 3 MAIN LAND FIELDS ONLY!!!!
There will be a MILL PRODUCT Special Glove = 750 Foxglove+ 70 Fingerless Gloves 5min mill time
NOTE: Drop Rate for this Event WIL BE HIGH!!!!!!
I came up with 15,000 crops and 1,400 drops to get all givers and CR ( 20 games )
EVERYONE will get 1 free mini game to start
there will be a Memory mini game each game played will count towards the main progress bar to get event items and earn points to spend in Event shop. You can pick what graphics you want to use 1) match characters 2) match backgrounds
you must match 2 same characters /backgrounds if they don't match cards will flip back over and you will continue to play until all matches are played. As matches are made they will be removed from board, Game is over when all matches are made
Each game played earns you 35 star coins
Earn Bonus star coins by completing a round in as little moves as you can.
Turns - Bonus Coins
less than 11 = 10 star coins
12-14 = 7 star coins
15-17 = 6 star coins
18-20 = 5 star coins
over 21 = 0 star coins

I'm going to be doing this only using two fields so we'll see how far I get. I've got long term plans going in my glade and I don't want to have to reconfigure it yet again.

We get one game for free so we only need to grow, mill and play another 19 games to get givers and CR. The event runs for a whole week and I see no problem in growing 14,250 event crops on only 3 fields during that time. As announced by BP in the FAQ, to get 1330 drops shouldn't be a problem either.

For the mini game, memory, I suggest to use your cell phone camera to take (screen) pictures from the flipped over cards (as with bakery/cake events). It saves the use of overloaded braincells.

I hope I didn't forget something else I wanted to write..

5 hr event crop =
4 hr with water applied
3:36 hr with water and manure applied
2:30 hr with SG appllied
1:36 hr with water and SG applied
1:27 hr with water and manure and SG applied

When using SG, buffs like fruitcake and white innocence will cut the growing time even more (using both SG buffs with water and manure applied gets you near the 1 hour grow time).

I'm definitely in for this event, looks cute & fun, & I like the star coin aspect of it, also the CR is worth my time.

 

Sadly I have opened this week's special Valentine gift, +1 for 48 hours without checking the forum. Sigh. Don't make my mistake and open it after harvesting and feeding stables! Perfect for an event growing challenge, if you can wait to open it!

 

don't feel to bad NeighborPuffin I did that on this farm too live n learn I guess, but its a hard lesson to learn lol, And that IS a good idea thanks habalala and thank you for adding all that extra info too

 

I made the same mistake! The Valentines Event requires 15k of a 5 hour crop. Eek, I really could have used that +1 for a longer period of the event. Oh well.....live and learn.

I think BP is conspiring with my dentist to mess me up for the start of events. Have to go to the dentist tomorrow, yet again, to get my crown put on, so won't have much time for farming . I've had 4 separate appointments over the last few months, and each one corresponded with the start of an event. On the bright side, it's the last trip to the dentist for a while; no more novocaine and itches you can't stop 'cause you can't feel your face to scratch, yay! I may have to cancel appointment, tho, snow and wind is forecast, could be nasty.

Brooke, Puffin and Marly: been there, done that . I remembered to check the forum this time before opening the bonus, but am getting hosed on 2 of my farms because I'm going to end up paying to open a day I know good and well I opened (I check multiple times a day to make sure I got it opened, since my memory is the size of a flea ). Same day on both farms, tho spots shows ok. It's irritating, because when I first couldn't open the bonus on bearbabe and mini-me, I refreshed and the gift was available. Then next time I logged in to game it was locked again. Annoys me greatly.

This should be a reasonable event for new farmers, as we have so long to complete it and nothing's required but event crops and drops. Remember to ask for help with drops if you need to. Good luck everyone!

 

spots let me ask was it the fruitcake? one that it says you didn't open? I check multiple times a day too but on 1 of the farms it said I hadn't opened it I KNOW I DID so I just went ahead and paid for it so I would have the bonus gift

 

I'm all planted up and ready to go for tomorrow, now I just have to remember to activate my bonus gift for the event.

I am taking screen shots of mine every day in case they close afterwards, which they did on one of my farms. I paid after I saw what they did to Spots.

i too have open the gifts without checking forum .... and last time (or was it before) ethier way i did have issue opening one... i opened it... read in forum they will close all and we had to reopen it... well i forgot to reopen mine... so yes i was forced to pay with BB's to reopen mine...

Anyway back on topic... I am all in for this event... The CR i want....lol

I know off topic, but why are BP denying there is any issues regarding the calender events yet more people who have opened gifts to find them closed. This happened to loads of us at Christmas and BP blamed me/us

 

I opened up Valentine Calendar Gift - And 50 fingerless gloves! 50 free drops before the event! Woo Hoo! I checked to make sure they didn't disappear - and they are in my barn.

This event is classified as easy - I am in!

I have read and re read the FAQ and I don't see where we will be able to take a picture of the layout before beginning the game - good idea but I don't think it will work.

 

No, Marly, it was the EP, same day on both farms. I know I opened it, because I'm paranoid and check multiple times a day to make sure I did . And, the gift initially showed as open, then changed to unopened after I refreshed because I couldn't get the bonus open. I know I'll end up paying the BBs, but I'm sending a message to support anyway, for all the good it'll do. Not shooger's fault, she's just the intermediary, so will try to get support to actually, perish the thought , offer support.

Totally agree there, baw, I've seen events classified as hard that were simple, and easy events that were almost impossible to finish. Does look to be pretty straightforward, tho.


Peeps, I tend to agree with you. Star coins once in a while is fine, but every time is a bit blah.
