I got 217 drops using Turnips on all 3 fields but I do have some trees and pens in the glade. And 5 pens on my main. So with the 50 from BP that will bring me up to 267 I'll take it Now I will have to see how the drops really do go once I get all my fields covered in the event crop Good luck to everyone!!

 

I got 247 drops from 1x1 plots of foxtail millet. I have one of arboretum, manufactory, menagerie each. Hi phoenixboy12, Did you plant it in 1x1 or 2x2 plots. Sometimes 1x1 gives more drops than 2x2.



I am not trying the mini game today as my usual broadband is not working. And this one keeps going off now and then. So I think by tomorrow afternoon everything will be fine and I will start with the free mini game tomorrow.

 

hi 12. I always plant 1x1s as normally have CAC running most of time.

I should be fine in end, its when you are promised something and it doesnt materialise it takes you aback slightly.

oo just seen another post forgot about the 50 already in barn so that means only got 100 now im even more unhappy

Well would just go and believe it. Ive just won +1 bonus for 8 hours and 200% harvest bonus for 24 hours off wheel. Now my ageing brain is so confuzzled

 

Rose hips on 1x1 plot gave me 236 drops...played free mini game which fetched only 35 coins..will have to study strategy which can give more coins.

 

I am puzzled too. Just 100 drops ?? 200 % - I have suffered that confusion several times. SO now I do not spin immediately after I planted the 10 event seeds. Do the spinning next day. So don't worry. But your 200 % is for 24 hrs. You still can stock up your baha animals (like parrots, sloths, elephants & your workshop products - I think 200 % is for all crops, trees & stalls (check it out by hovering your mouse over the trees, pens)) & crops

I'm thinking the increased drop rate may be on the event plant only. I got pretty much normal amounts off my fields as I had rosehips planted 1x1 on two fields and got 66 and 61 respectively. On my glade full of production pens, stables and trees I got 36 which is about what I usually get, maybe a little low.

My first full field of 2x2's of foxglove I got 19, that seems higher than normal to me for a 5 hour plant and only 44 plots. Although I could be wrong as I don't keep track of these things any place but my head and that's not always reliable.

 

I asume that's the case, got 20 drops on a full field (1x1) where a 5hr event crop normally provides around 10.

 

Nope. I noticed a 40-50% increase in drops on my farms for my initial harvest (not including the calendar gift) compared to the last event, Carnival Queen.

Valentine's Day
Farm #1 with carnations (588 1x1s), LL at 30%, and no other buffs got 195 drops.
Farm #2 with carnations (588 1x1s), LL at 30%, and no other buffs got 190 drops.

Carnival Queen
Farm #1 with same setup got 134 drops.
Farm #2 with same setup got 132 drops.

Edit.. Had the wrong strategy thread attached, fixed now.

 

Had a chance to see what the event crop on 3 fields of 1x1s produce drop wise only 47 drops in total. that is less than normal for a 5 hour event crop so obviously I must of mis read the FAQs and thought it said drops will be HIGHER.
So sorry BP in my mistake that drops will be more

 

yes thank you for starting the SOS thread you never know the newer players may need more help heck some of the older players may need more help too lol specially if they have RL commitments

 

Its ok Marlymar, it is what it is. I will have 11,000 crops done in about 30 minutes so will concentrate on the drops we have 6 days to do event

 

It was the wins on the wheel and the +1 harvest from valentines calender. So I think one full harvest of all 3 fields crops should be done.

I too feel your pain on this... but as stated maybe its the event crops they was talking about... oh wait what am i saying... my event crops with the plus one and the CAC i get 5 per 1x1 and now i have more crops then drops... go figure... 153 ex per 1x1 too with my exp i won off the wheel... no help there.

Remember event just started... I think BP likes to tinker with drop rates as event goes on... sorry if no one else sees or feels this.. but i seen it myself a few times... maybe i changed things, maybe i didn't... but ethier way closer to the end.. drops have always been better. Maybe i need to start a tally of what i have planted... ? i don't know...lol i got a mix of trees and pens/workshops in glade... 201 fields on main and 202 on the other..

But to stay on topic: I think doing the character option in the mini game is far more easier as the background option.

 

Actually they look a whole lot like the pair I bought back in the 80's to go to the big city and see Prince in concert. Now that's a fun memory.

I've finally got enough to start milling only to realize I have both my mills tied up for another 3 hours.

 

Characters are easier to match and generally if you do it in a pattern it will be easier for you. It is for me anyway. I've not managed to get below 13 turns to complete yet but I've done it 3 times. I'm thinking you have to be lucky to get 11, if anyone figures out if there's a trick to it do share.
