Veritable Quandry

As a new farmer, I'm not really sure what to do about the latest "mini*event". If I pay 450 BBs and get 30 stables, I may or may not end up with one or more of the Swan stables.

If I pay 630 BBs (for which I'd have to invest real $), I'm guaranteed to receive ONE stable, which means I'd have paid 180 BBs just for it.

Long time players, may I have some advice here? Thank you!

 

I don't buy the packages but rather buy them individually. Usually in groups of 10 or 20 depending on how many BBs I have. I think the price for the guarantee stable is too high. Good luck!

 

Personally I never thought it was worth buying the package, but I know others do.

As a new farmer most of the stables you win will be very useful for you, so I think your BBs would be better spent on wonder stables, than securing the latest one. There'll be other chances to win it later if you are not lucky this time. 630 BBs is a lot, I would advice you to play for a while and gather some farmerama experience and find out how you like to run your farm, and then decide if this is the sort of thing you want to spend your BBs on.

 

ummmm.... what is the difference between a "wonder stable" and what they're offering?

 

I find that too much BB is wasted on the packages. Thus, i just buy individual stables in varying amounts depending how how much i have to spend at the particular time of the event.

If you are going to spend 630 BBs, you can buy either 42 wonder stables or the package with 30 wonder stables + a swan stable. What I meant was that the BBs would be better spent on just getting wonder stables, not the package.

Not that I would spend that much on wonder stables at all. There'll be plenty of things to spend BBs on, so I would be a bit careful in the beginning until you find out what you really want/"need" and how much real money you are willing to spend

I'm always a bit torn whenever there's a new animal stable. On one hand, I really want to own at least one of each because it's nice to have them all. A secondary benefit tends to be the rather high prices these animals fetch when they're new. On the other hand, aside from those two reasons, BB's are generally better spent elsewhere because these rare stable animals have very few uses outside of one or two FSQ's.

I will interject one other thing. If you are budgeting your BB's then keep in mind there will be a half price shop sale on Monday before you spend it all on mystery stables. It's a good time to get good rates on a few rare trees and stables that are hard to come by otherwise as well as other good stuff. Just a thought.

 

Just saying that my experience has been, to buy only 5...... you surely won't get the swan! It's a teaser for you to spend more, I believe. Try to buy in increments of at least 10, your odds will be better. Good luck!!

 

I know the event is past, but others will likely look this up, so..
Basically, figure the real money it takes to buy the BB and then decide. I have bought the packs, because you are guaranteed at least one of the new pens. Just as an example, I used up my BBs to buy 20 pens, and got no swan. I got stuff that might be useful to someone new such as yourself, starting out, but I have lots of everything except the new pen. For me, the only thing worth getting is the swan, and the rest is just junk. Early on, I was quite happy to get almost any rare pen. Now.. not so much.
