Very confused - Using Unity or Download Client???

Hi, the previous time I logged into this game there was an option to switch to unity, which I didn't select. When I logged in this time the only option given is to download client. There was no mention of unity. I haven't yet disabled flash.

With this current login my farm looks different, pens seem smaller, some trees look smaller. The xl scented tree was ready for harvest but looked like it wasn't ready, there are strange white swirly patterns in my park and some white faint falling snow effects in the upper left hand corner on the overhead map. My flying plane givers only show empty runways...the planes have completely disappeared. The market also looks different now with the option to select main farm or baha items, so much better!

This might sound dumb, but has the game automatically switched from flash to unity? I'm very confused because I hadn't switched to unity but my farm looks different to the previous time I logged in, with flash still enabled. This is what appears in the top search bar on my farm page:

Is my only option now to select download client? Or can I continue playing without needing to download client because it has already switched to unity?

I am currently using edge or will it be better to use firefox? If so, will the graphics change, i.e. planes return and no white swirly patterns in park? I don't want to use chrome or opera.

We are under a Technical Test that will last for 48 hours as announced here. Flash has been disabled in order to perform this test with Unity. If you are playing in the browser, you are already in Unity and need to do nothing else.

The Standalone Client (download) is an option for players but was created for those who cannot access Unity through the browser. You can continue to use Edge if you like. The graphics are the same no matter which one you use.

There are some technical issues that are being addressed as you will see from the Announcements and Feedback threads.

Although I had quick look at the forum, and with all the information out there, I had missed this one.

Sorry, just one more question for you: after the 48 hour tech test, do we need to switch to unity when flash is enabled again?

Yes, there is a lot going on right now and understandable that some info was overlooked

We do not have information yet about a permanent switch to Unity, but for quite some time now, players have had the option of playing in Unity or Flash. You will see the option at the top of your screen on the game frame when you log in. This should be what you see at the end of the Technical Test on Sunday. At some point, there will not be an option to Switch between Unity and Flash as Flash will be discontinued this month.

Thanks again. That's why I was confused because I had the option to switch to unity in my previous log ins, yet this time didn't.

I am no longer confused...for the time being...and will just wait to see what happens.

The option was disabled so the Team could get a good impression of how Unity will function regarding such issues as loading times and server loads that can only be determined with a test run.
