vial of growth

Am I correct that I should place this buff BEFORE I harvest the current crop of fruit in order for the time reduction on the next harvest of Trees?

I could not find anything specific in the threads about this.

suggestion for moderator - the Alchemist post really needs to be updated as there are no more gnomes.

Can you please link me the old post about the gnomes Here is the new Alchemist FAQ.
As the gnomes are no longer available, you do not place the item, but "eat" it. Yes, you would eat it before you harvest the current fruit.

I came upon it when I did a general search for VOG. So it may be that nothing needs to be updated, maybe just my mistake not realizing that my search took me to the archives. You will be in a better position to determine that.

Another question: I don't see vial of Growth in the new list. Is this an old recipe that is no longer available?
