No you didn't miss anything, I was just experimenting. :p I made up my mind that I din't care what star coins I receive for that mini game. ;) I did that in another game too. Its sometimes a impulse with me to get first hand experience even if its a bad one. I knew I could make it up later on. ;)

    ****************************

Glad my tips was useful to many.

Runes are somewhat difficult and you have to think a little more extra. I still experimenting them. This is what I do. Try to better it. I usually get 4 to 5 green circles. But it still is tough.

I always do the hilt first and then the head and then the rune.
What I first try to see is whether the rune fits the shape of the head or not.
For runes you have to see the straight line, bends, slope, curves or the opening of the rune. Like the < rune
runes B , <, N sometimes are related. If B gives you 3 green circles, then you can try < rune. If it gives you less circles, then it may be that opening is not the criteria. Go for the slope, bend or other thing.

Sometimes B, M and F are related - because of the slope.
Sometimes the first forked shape rune and B are related due to slope from middle to top.

I will try some more mini games and then post more on runes.

12ss12, runes also have names. When scroll over (and wait a second or two) we see that every rune have a name.
Could this also have anything to do with choosing the best rune? Just wondering... :music:

Nellie Noodles you are so funny!!
    Isn't 250 for 5 tries a top score??
How can you possibly do any better?!
I can only hope that when I throw the axe, I do as well as you~

Yes, meba. Even the heads have different shades of colour. 3 - I think. I forgot to mention earlier. Thanks for reminding.

All heads, hilts & runes have names. That's what I am trying to find. The meaning of the rune and the purpose of every different axe combination. But its very tough.

You see this whole month is summer holiday for me. So I have lots of spare time. Therefore yesterday, I searched the web to find out about viking axe real photos, their shapes, viking runes etc..etc.. And even axe assembling. Thought if I could see we could get some clue from it. I also used the hilts name and head names to find the matching. But could not find something substantial. Now, you have reminded me. I will do another research.

I find out 2 types of viking axe - dane axe & broad axe. I do not know if this applicable to this game. I think before this game finishes I am going to nuts with vikings information invading my brain. Is this a new type of FOCD. Latest deadliest variety ? eh ? ;) :p

Okay ... I know I said I was going to skip this event altogether, well ... I decided that I might just dabble a bit as you were all having so much fun with the Vikings, Axes and stuff so I am compromising. I am not too worried if I don't get everything on all farms, I am just setting out 2x2s (easier than animals when no machinery available so it seems worth the effort to change over for a while), doing maximum of two harvests a day (four fields for this farm and Chevrefeuille, two for baby farm) and see how far I get. :p

I was also going to get as many crops together as possible before making Viking Broth and Axes but, you guessed it, I couldn't wait. I was a little nervous (those Axes look really sharp!) so I tried it out on baby farm first and got two Bullseyes (not straight off but that's an ill elephant). So Chevrefeuille had a go and got 90 Star Coins. Illy has too much in the Mill at the moment but I'm hoping all three farms can come away with something worth having. All want the CR and EP Givers but will settle for the Wonder Stables. :D

    Good Luck! ;)

I have thrown 30 axes and got 40 or 50 coins on each :D on average 48 per throw. After next harvest I'll have enough for the cloud row and items :)

Oh my word, my first try I got 25 ..... I don't see where anyone did that bad. Oh my goodness. Love our little Viking Goose! Just wondering why on God's green earth would someone go for the sticker? Just curious as I see quite a few of you are going to get it.

Molly it is because the wonderful Viking goose Ingrid only comes as a sticker - and I want her - she is so cool 8)

    And I am a Viking too....sort of....long way back....and what is a Viking without a Viking sticker? :p

everyone is doing great, awesome! I noticed that the more i think the less successful...i was trying to go left and right depending on the dots...got some 50s. 40s, and this is the first few rounds where i got 32s. the strategy is confusing for me...never been my strength but plugging along

Due to RL, and a new smart phone that's smarter than me:p, didn't get much farming in yesterday, but managed to put together enough drops and crops to make 8 broths. Did really well, getting all 50s and 40s, with one exception (got distracted by husband talking, and didn't realize I was on my last throw and not a practice; had a bad combination for only 15 points). Total point accumulation so far is 335, giving me a nice average of 45.7 per throw (didn't count the 15 pointer).:)

I don't know if it is my late start or not clearing the rainforest of trees and new wonder stables, but I have thrown 23 axes and getting a lot of bull's eyes. :inlove::D Avg is 47.04:). Not enough for the cloud row yet but tomorrow should find me climbing the magic bean stalk.;)

15 axes with 50% bullseyes! Only had one not 40-50 (at 25), so things are going well. :) So happy with the good reports from my fellow farmers; looks like a winning event!

:inlove: Love that Ingrid! First time I've ever wanted to get a sticker!

BP has got to be doing a happy dance. They finally found a way to get all these anti-sticker people on board with wanting one.
    :p

I have yet to mix my first broth. Just waiting till I have more drops and crop to do so.
Meanwhile my wife has been mixing as she goes. After some discussion and consternation she launched right into it. Her results have been great thus far. To say she's pleased with the mini game would be an understatement. I don't have her numbers But I do know at one point today she had 5 tries, (5 games = 1 try), and received 50, 50 (2nd attempt), 50, 50 (2nd attempt), 50.

So it looks like BP has produced a real winner this time around! :D
