Viking Saga: Target Practic -- Strategy Thread

I didn't get to start this event until 6 hrs after it started so I probably wont plant long time crops tonight so that I can catch up on the event plants then tomarrow evening ill start planting long time crops to try and build up my drops I think ill be ok ill just keep moving forward and do the best I can. Marly - Looks like you and I are in the same boat. Only managed initial harvest and nuking rounds with my work schedule today. Right now I have 756 crops and 250 drops - such a long way to go! Best of luck to everyone!

 

You're fine at that rate, Willow -- I think at the beginning of this thread they said we needed 210 drops a day (or something close to that?). I'm finding the event crops (golden root) are not very good on drops - get 4 or 6 for an entire field of 1x1s. Once I get through the crop requirements, I'll start planting something else.

 

I only have 187 drops and 138 plus whats planted crops as of right now so I'm still behind but I'm NOT going to give up without a fight

I don't think I had enough coffee today -- don't know what I was thinking. I knew I could get drops at Baha, but forgot I could plant the event crops there too (not just on the main/meadow/glade). *slaps forehead*

I think I was still in last-event-mode. We'll all play catch-up together.

i got 306 so far and its within the first 24 hours and 8 is from gifts... so yes I do think I am doing very well.. Just DON'T ask me what I am doing cause I DON'T KNOW....lol I even went back to check to make sure i didnt misread that 3 in the hundreds place....lol

I am slowly learning all this stuff -buffs, refinements, and tried that mixer one time... but kinda put that aside for a few... i have alot left to learn...

So true.... some events can kill ya on getting the CR if ya have to much idle time... I am learning this fast....lol when we can or cant have any idle time....lol Over night if i don't goto bed with event crop... i used to use roses till i got my EB on carnations... cause with water and manure on carnations.... its 12 hours and i want my farm before hand.. so that's why i always used roses... i know some people didn't like that.... but i need my farm....lol plus to me roses was better in exp..

to the late starters or people with low drops.... hang in there....its still not 24 hours into it yet as of this post.... and i have came back from a low start before and so do many of others...

 

Gonna try to do as much as I can as fast as I can because company is predicted to come whether we want him or not. Expected to be a hurricane (Nate) is due to hit Saturday night. I will have to go to my daughter's because of my oxygen needs.She has a built in generator. I also have over 30 huge oak trees in my yard. Fantastic for shade, nightmare for storms.

Guess what !!!!!! I got 5 party spins from Viking Shop & got 2 Mythic Pegasus & 24 hrs coupon. First time the spin fell one step short of mythic Pegasus. I was disappointed. Next I got TEP & Mulch. Then the next 2 spins were Pegasus. So happy.

 

I'm just curious just how far behind I am ive only done 8 mini games how is everyone else doing? and please stay safe Blessedlady will be praying for you and everyone in the storms path

 

I'm about to do 7th mini game (broth milling now). And I have another couple of fields of event crops ready in 25 minutes for another 2 broth or so.

p.s. I have a feeling others are a lot further than I am -- considering I wasn't planting event crops on Baha the first day.

 

None I'm always notorious behind everyone else. Still very confident I shall have the CR up and running before time's up.

Have only done the free game so far ...have been growing the crops and getting the drops together

 

You may find it easier and more efficient to buy your chicken feed. Right now on my small farm's market, I can sell chickens for a minimum of 1600, tho I usually wait until I'm confident I can get over 2000 (baby boom is my favorite time to sell). I can buy chicken feed for between 250 and 300. Wheat is starting at about 80. While I'm paying more overall for the feed then I would to buy the wheat and mill it myself, I take growing time and milling time into consideration as part of my end total cost. To me, I save in the long run because I can use my fields to grow other crops or animals during the time I would need to grow wheat to feed my chickens, and my mill can be used to make other feeds I consider more important (PF) or which I'm less inclined to purchase. I make a good enough profit on the chickens that I can buy the feed for them guilt free, I can buy quantities in seconds that would take days to mill, and I rarely run out. I also use the Baha mill whenever there's event milling to be done, like you, making small batches of animal feed in between.

Congrats on the double win, Brooke! 300%, you'll have your crops grown in no time and can concentrate strictly on the drops, sweet! I somehow managed to get the 100% on bear today, so hoping to get several rounds of event crops to take full advantage.

Drops seem a bit low this time. Started with about 180 from carnations, honeydew melons, and various trees, had around 300 by end of first day, not sure of today's count. May have to do instant carnations after all . I won't be forced into buying baskets or SG, tho , I'll either finish all 40 throws or I won't. 9 games finished here, marly, 10 on bear, 3 on mini me. I think you're right on track.
