Viking Saga: Target Practic -- Strategy Thread

Currently 8189 crops and 458 drops. Long crop going in now, and I hope to get more event crops tomorrow before the storm hits.

Prayers for all to go well blessedlady! My city is on the east side of Nate, and we are expecting tropical storm winds starting Saturday night. Worst part of being on the east side are the spinoff tornado threats. Blessings to anyone else expecting a visit from Nate!

yes ill be praying for you too willow I have 7124 crops and ive done 13 games and I have 28 drops left I have my carnations in for over night and am hoping I get some good drops in morning ive lost track of how many crops I still need so ill just have to keep growing them until I think I have enough

 

Still growing event crops and getting the drops! I have not made any broths yet but will start tomorrow
(Sat) and then on to some axe throwing! "Hail Queen Meba!" My thoughts are with Willow and blessedlady and all in the path of Nate! Take care and keep safe!

 

I'm at 13 games too. I get a piece of paper and at the top write down the total needed in two columns: drops and crops. Drops needed were 1050 and crops were 15000. I only deduct what I use for broth from that total (not the drops/crops I have in my barn). So if I make 2 broth -- I deduct 70 from the drop column (35 ea), and so on. Same with the crops.

Which means, if you are at the same game # as me: After finishing your 13th game, you need 630 more drops and 9000 more crops (not including what's in your barn).

I got the party spins and the stables first, now I think I might go for the bigger stuff don't worry I wont get to far ahead of you lol but ill wave

 

Played 21 games and got 1095 star coins...bought Shark...Mondsee wonder tree...Oahu baha w.tree...Platinum w.stable.

So far have 20.194 Golden Roots and 893 drinking horns ...have got all those stables in the shop ...but haven't got the neon frog pond ... but cannot see myself getting a thousand coins to get it

Willow, you will be in my thoughts and prayers. The East side is scary because of the threat of tornadoes. So many people are confused about Katrina. New Orleans flooded because the levies broke. The Mississippi coast was wiped out because what some are saying was a 30 ft. water surge.It took almost everything with it when it went back out.

Marly just multiply how many games you have left by 500 than subtract the crops you have.

 

i saw everyday for a long time what KATRINA did to the coast.... i still have family and some friends in that area.. I will be praying everyone there... No matter what the storm does... just play it safe please.. thanks..

I thought I come and share where I stand on this event.... right now I have 8720 crops (not counting the maybe 500 1x1's i got down now) and 786 drops... think I need another 33 drops for today to still have my 40 game day avg..making 17 broths now... and will need another 10780 crops and 579 drops to finish the 40 game event..and 67 hours left...I think i can ... i think i can ... choo choo....lol

Does any one know if the perfumery , pottery and the tiki will be given to us again later? I need all 3 of these and just don't think I can get all 3.. I also would like to get some goodies too... but depends on my score... we shall see soon

 

I'm still undecided on whether to save my coins and go for the neon frog -- or whether to buy the wonder stables, and then maybe one or two of the others (shark, pottery, tiki totem, etc.). It's difficult because I don't know what is offered often and what is harder to get later, what is rare, etc. Neon is attractive because the highest on my farm for anything is orange.

I'm also not at a level in baha to make the pottery, etc. (don't have the animals), so I'll probably skip those. But there's a newt, shark, etc. I don't have. Not sure yet. Any tips on whether it's better to go for the neon, or just pick up those others (depending on coins)?

All I've purchased so far are the party tickets. Bananas and stars look nice too, but I have other ways to obtain those -- oh, too many decisions. lol.

 

That's where I'm at too. Don't know how many I'll do that way before I switch over to 4bys. If I can get 515 Star Coins so I can get the trees and stables and of course first and for most, the first 5 goes to my Sticker I'll be ok with that. Would like to get the Tiki Totem ... Frootloop is the Toucan Bird after all

Fifty five hours after the start and with another sixty three hours to go I have CR up and running. I'm a happy fellow farmer right now

Totals so far:
1288/1015 drops
16710/14500 crops

Converted the free game and 1015 drops and 14500 crops into 1419 Star coins.

I didn't buy anything but I did use some - but not too much- SG to nuke the event crop once again because I made the silly mistake to mill all of the event crop before noticing I came short to replant

It seems I've build up a good stock of drops and obviously I need to grow more crops to make more broth to play more games and gain more Star Coins. Hmm... will continue to grow the event crop on Mainland tomorrow, after harvesting another bunch of drops from my overnight seedings.

Love this event .. good drop rate, lovely mini game .. it's good fun.

Wow, your drop rates are good, habalala. Mine are not very good on the event crop. But hopefully I'll make it. I still need 400 drops and about 3 or 4000 crops (forget what's in my barn at the moment).

 

With your game play attitude you'll get there Jazzy!

The past days, on all 5 fields, I grew event crop during the day (3 harvests) and long time crops overnight. I have the LL rune maxed out, which makes a huge difference in the drop rate. It took a lot of effort to get it but it sure is one of the futures in the game that are a must have.

Just keep going!

 

I have played 12 mini games and have 548 star coins. not sure how much more I need crop wise but have 4 fields ready for harvest in 10 mins.

 

Managed two event crops and just put in the rose hips for long crop. 13,271 crops and 919 drops at present, so not unhappy.

Will be shutting down shortly, as rain and wind have started moving into my area with Nate making landfall. If the tornadoes stay away, there may not be too much damage from this one - except for power outages and flooding in low areas. Hopefully will be back online sometime tomorrow. Blessings to all dealing with the weather!
