Viking Saga: Target Practic -- Strategy Thread

Wow -- stayed up late to try and make up for some of all the downtime we've had today, and.... the game is down.

Third time. I give up. Night all.

 

WHAT is the matter with this game ... Had trouble getting into my farm... NOW I cannot even sow a field all I have got is a daisy going round and round ...Cannot even go to another field the daisy wont let me
I am stuck on the map

 

Me too Nellie. Can't count how many times I have logged in and out, refreshed with F5, refreshed fully! What a nightmare. I am working this afternoon and just had time to do a very much needed harvest before leaving. Oh well, will make it to the CR - if I can get beyond the twirling flower that is. Have to be satisfied with that I suppose.

 

Well, after struggling for an hour with what should take five minutes, it seems that the farm is running normally now. Bought bucketloads of manure to enable me to get my harvest done before I have to go. I will be up to 36 throws by then and hope to get at least the last four tomorrow morning. Maybe a few more, who knows.

Blessedlady2 and Willow: Good to see you back here. Hope Nate didn't cause too much damage over there.

 

Teething problems with Login and slow speeds. Eventually Completed this Event. Now try for some more Broths for Extra Stuff from Viking Store.

Fingers Cross no more Login Issues. This is worse case of Login Issues i have encountered over the last few years. It it messed up my Buffs, not being effective as i like it to be

At least on got the last Giver from this Event

I forgot to mention I got the Mystic Cerberus Twice in a row on Party Wheel Spin. So i got the Mystic Cloud Row up and Running too

I have (at least) two of all the other Mystics except the Phoenix (just the one there) but not managed to get the Cerberus yet.

Barring all glitches, I should finish the 40th game tomorrow. So far I have "bought" 20 GBs, 30 PF, the Wonder Stables, the Baha Wonder Trees and my next planned purchase will be the other Wonder Trees. Hoping to get the 48 hour and/or 24 hour Harvester Voucher too but anything else will be a miracle. It would be nice if the event was extended due to all these technical issues (and nature issues too!) but as I think this is very unlikely.
Of course, BP could give us all an additional Viking Broth ... or five!
Is that a Flying Pig I see!

The event is extended by 24h, see AO. I think that was a flying pig Illy, maybe she lives in one of the wonder trees ?

The Game Team are aware and have been working on the problem since it began yesterday.

The thing on the left side games played ....does that mean we have to complete 40 games to finish Or have I got that wrong as usual

 

Nellie: You get the CR after 30 games, if you do complete 40 games, you get an extra EP item (Megalific Fun I think it's called).

I have completed 36 or 37 games, have logged out now as getting ready for work. I have managed to get the Wonder Trees and the 48 hour harvester coupon! Wahoo! All win win win from now on. Catch up with you all tomorrow!

look the game come back. Hope BP game team really fix the problem.
I don't want to see the spinning flower again. It's worse than I can't open the site!

Edit for add new information:
I thought the game is all right,since I need to wait 30 min for crop to harvest, so
I play the mini games, at first, everything look fine, but, suddenly, the game got
frozen up just after my 1st throw, It can't refresh as that game will lost
OK, the game just disconnect from my network. I reload the game, and it just
like before, can't load out the pages. Who know how long will need to wait again

 

Lost about 12 hours or so gametime due to issues. So lost almost a full CAC. At least game extended 24hours so that makes up for missing time but not on extra crops CAC brings. Will see what compensation is prob 1 hour instant harvester.
Hope issues did not affect others too much and all can get extra games with the extension. Have fun

 

Well it got a tad ugly yesterday afternoon, but late last night I was finally able to harvest. Both farms have the cloud row. Now just trying for extra star coins. Still things I'd like to have...

 

glad i wasnt the only one who seen that spinning flower.... i thought maybe the game was giving me hints... to plant flowers...lol
i was trying to get my trees last night when it went out again... i said later...

while its been said here and other threads... i will also say my input on buffs and machinery... i don't have alot of coins... but enough to cover my buffs.. thing is.... some cant. now the machinery, well none of us can replace that.. i lost time before for things like this... i try not to say anything cause it wont matter.... more or less like now...

any how lets hope its better now... all i got to do is wait for crops.... mill last 4... play last 10 games and i will have 40 games...

Jazac, when I wasn't receiving my mail and gifts for 2 months (there was an old inactive player who was getting them), support wouldn't send me my messages/gifts that I'd lost -- even though they could see what was sent and meant for me. They said they don't do that. I must admit, I was probably a bit forward with my lesson on customer service in my last email to them.

I'm limited with harvester helper and CAC, so both are precious to me (it is only through the generosity of others that I have any CAC at all). But I doubt very much we'll see any kind of compensation for those. I'm glad they extended it, but it would be nice to get buffs and helpers we lost too. They are virtual items, so it wouldn't cost them anything to throw a coupon or buff our way for the inconvenience -- but don't hold your breath on that one.

 

Oh how I wish I could gift my coupons. We will get some kind of compensation, in addition to the extended time. Glad you reminded me I should probably consume another Cac.

 

That would be good, Moraine (and a smart move on their part -- happy farmers and all that). Fingers crossed.

 

It has been my experience that the compensation that has been previously awarded for game problems was generous. I can't remember specifics but I do remember that players thought it was fair and were happy.
I'm happy we get an extension for this event I'm still growing and throwing

 

I did manage to get the CR before things went crazy. I have 11 more broths but I keep getting booted out so maybe I will wait till it's straightened out. Congrats to all who finished and best of luck to those trying!! Now I have to decide if it's worth growing more event crops
