Mooboy - thank you for those tips! I am not sure that I can do level 6 of this one...just not enough resources for some of the workshops. Phooey.

One thing we need to remember is that steps 2 and 3 of each of the previous levels are completely optional. So unless you want those rewards, you don't need to do steps two and three of level 5. You just have to power through step 1 of level 5 to get to level 6.

I came here with something else on my mind...my brain is so cluttered, I lose things. Stress - Need I say more?

Oh yeah...The Crates! For 3 BBs - if you've managed to save up a small pile of BBs, buy a few - it's a huge boost to getting started with this quest!

 

I've spend about 400 SG to nuke the lovely looking event crops for about 2 rounds each at the start. Started to donate event crops with the use of Bday Treats gained from about 50 pinata crates (also got 4 out of the 5 givers from there, going in the doubles!) and donated regular crops from barn stock without using Bday Treats. Now I ran out of event crops too, but characters are at level 7-6-7-6 so I guess I'm pretty much on the roll in the party.

Well goodness...wishing good health to all and very speedy recoveries to those ill.

My luck with the crates has not been good. I've purchased 30 so far and have only received low levels of event plants and 3 birthday treats.

I cleared all available fields, something I never do, and have been growing event crops on all of them. I nuked the first rounds to get enough to plant full fields. I've only managed to get get 2 of my characters to level 3 so far but got the crate of winners started yesterday so I've gotten 3 gifts from it already. Why do I feel as if I'm behind?

I am not doing the nostalgia event BUT I am growing event crops for Viva Pinata! I have done 2 levels
and got farm wheel spins from the "crate o winner!" Interesting event for sure!

 

Funny I just won a pink rabbit hutch on the farm wheel and was actually disappointed cause I didn't get the 200% bonus next to it.

Never thought I would see the day.

 

LOL LDCrow! Congrats on the Pink one. On my farmwheel the arrow doesn't seem to recon the +200% bonus either

 

Arrrgghhhh!!!! I just wasted a healthy treat. I accidentally activated it instead of opening my winners crate.

 

I was very lucky and won the 200% bonus and the next spin was the 100% and it was just before my crops were ready to harvest!

 

Ouch Clash...I don't know how you get those items to replace it either.

Anyone else notice the dolphin pinanta? Is this a sign of a new animal? I haven't been keeping up with rumors so I could just be behind.

 

Well I've had mixed luck with the crates on this farm, but really good luck on sewinglady's farm. Usually it goes the other way.

I started the timed quest level 6 on this farm because I have a 100% bonus running...but it's going to run out and now I don't know if I can do the gold and diamond levels to get the giver. It's gonna be a real nail biter...

Those updated wheel prizes have been nice...red workshops! I just discovered the other farm has two for the sheep shearing shed!

Nice to hear some are getting nice spins and are progressing with the event. I'm moving along, just about done with the timed levels I need.

I can't believe it....but I just finished all 12 levels!!!It was close...I only have a few left of each crop. I haven't checked...but I'm pretty sure I have 2 of each giver! One set of givers up on the CR...and the other goes onto Shipwreck Bay!!! I did buy about 30 Crate of Pinata.
Now to work on the Farm Nostalgia Quest!

I am hoping there is still plenty of time to recover from farming errors. One one farm last night, after harvesting, I went to the event window to see what I needed to grow (CF overnight with SG) and promptly forgot to replant seeds. Empty fields this morning.

I miscounted when the sheep shearing sheds will be finished and started the timed quest and 9/10 will finish on time and the last one will finish about 20 minutes too late so I will have to start that level all over again.

I am aggravated at myself and my inability to juggle 4 different event crops and 8 different items for the timed quests.

Best farming strategy.....go back to bed.

 

I like this event (so far), cuz my RL is a b**** and a half right now... so logging in every 6-8 hrs and making decent and noticeable progress each time is definitely mood enhancement for sure! Hope everyone else is also chugging along at an inspirational pace.

Again... Thanks so much to everyone for all the number crunching and strategy suggestions. GREATLY APPREICIATED!!! I'd still be spinning circles and bumping into walls without your efforts.

BlessedLady ... Pls heal fast!!! I sooo so so really hope your back breaking incident was not equestrian related (softcore AQHA, ABHA and APHA horsey girl here!!!).

 

Maybe a single PF for the last shearing shed would be worth it, if you've already partly completed the quest?

I've had some mistakes for this event too. I forgot to put out apple trees when I needed to so all the other fruits were ready. Not a problem as far as that step went, but I'd already put out workshops for the final level and they were ready well before the apple trees, so I had a lot of hand harvesting to do to if I didn't want to waste those. They were spread over 2 fields too. I wish there was a way to lock things to stop them being harvested.

Yes, I did nuke it with PF but still will be ready too late. Will have to restart that level. I had trees on a separate field from the workshops and so of course, my egg trees and goat milk trees are on the wrong field so I did some hand harvesting too.

First, let me wish a healthy recovery to all who are sick/hurt Now I am getting confused about these "crates". The only ones I have been opening are the 6 hr ones on the page where you donate crops. I know you can buy those things for 3 bb's....is that the other crates people are talking about? And it seems to me there is no real set numbers on how much of each crop you grow bc you can donate which ever one you want. Am I wrong about that too? Maybe I'm making this way harder to figure out than it should be

 

Let's run away to the circus together Pups - I am all over the place with this one. I thought I had it all sussed out but hadn't factored in my lack of maths savvy - only had half the required trees ready at the first attempt - and getting up too late to complete the trees on the second go-round!

Plan now is to do the trees, then sort out all the workshops and come back to finish the trees. (The first lot of trees are still not finished - tomorrow morning - if I don't sleep in!), then the first lot of workshops, nuke a second lot (my precious PF ), do the last lot Sunday morning, while my second lot of trees remain unharvested (if I don't forget NOT to harvest them!), then the last lot of trees on Monday morning.
Now if I mess up again, I won't finish the FSQ.

As for the Pinata - got mixtures of event plants all over the place, donating as and when I have enough - then don't leave enough to plant full fields! I hear the circus calling!
