Congrats, luniki!! I finished the event with some of each crop leftover. I planted baha and rain forest in Paper flowers so those are all extras So nice not having to worry about drops. Now if I can just remember to get my 3 mainland fields prepped for Monday morning

 

Finished with the pinatas! Must remember to collect the winners crate the next few days though.

I've just finished reconstructing my rainforest which was a bit of a challenge. Growing some orchids and hops to replenish and will put out trees and stables for the overnight. All in all it was a fun event with pretty low stress.

 

I'd like to add that the best strategy for the timed quest is to not concern yourself with the unattainable last levels.
I took a shot at the first two of the trees and scraped in. I had 50 of each on the go but the last one of 400 trees in 16 hours meant 67 of each type xxl or a minimum xl on every one of them and those ones needed both the suzys and turbo mulch. too much of an ask for even me. what were they thinking? that is steep. and the pens? I have one goat dairy and never use it because I've got a dozen goat milk trees.
I gave myself a headache just thinking about it.
What are you farmers out there doing with it?

 

You could put 100* of each of the necessary trees out (using two fields) and not touch the timer until they are ready to harvest - that is my strategy for the last of level 5.

For the workshops, I'm just cheating with PF - I know, I know, but I can't leave things half done if I can find a way to finish them!

Edit: * They aren't too expensive, especially the older trees.

 

Waiting on 1 last field of lollipops, then I'll be finished with the event on both farms. Whew. Even with not having drops to worry about that was a little tedious constantly keeping track of this that and the other crop...
I did the same as illy for the Quest. Bought the extra trees I needed and used PF on my workshops.
I also used SSG and mulch on the few goat milk and egg trees I already had, to make up the difference so I could do each of the levels in just one harvest each as soon as I started the timer. Step 6 is completed on both of my farms and the generous little Nostalgia Film givers are sporting their stuff in my Shipwreck Bays

I was going to skip the gold and diamond levels of step 5 but my EOCD wouldn't let me ... So I have 100 of each tree out now (both XXLs and XLs) ready to harvest in a few hours for the gold level (extra fruits from this round will go in the barn), then hopefully without too much idle time I will do one more round for the diamond level, and then hurry up and get my fields ready for the pipe event, UGH . I already had enough Apple and Plum trees (and their XLs), and the extra Walnut and Mulberry trees and their XLs that I had to buy will pay for themselves in no time, right??? . I sold a bunch of CAC to pay for the trees, upgrades (and a ton of manure for the event crops), and it barely put a dent in my hoarded pile of CAC lol). IMO... the Quest's rewards are not worth all the CCs and effort, but I just keep telling myself to write it off as an investment in more trees and potential tree fruits lol (rather than it actually being me caving in to my EOCD)

 

Saturnalia, I simply bought trees til I had 100 of each. To buy 50 of each tree needed costs 128 750cc so it's really not all that expensive. You get 23 000cc back so for a little over 100 000cc you get the other prizes of 25 PF, 63 000 EP, 3 stars and 5 wonder trees. I'd say that's exeptionally good value.

For the last step you can use goat milk trees and egg trees, it doesn't state how you have to produce them. I've been using mine with SSG where necessary, so I only needed 10 each of the sheep and rabbit shearing pens. I had to build most of those which was annoying but I had the tools so it was worth it. The giver from the last step seems really worth it.

 

I did not do past the first level of trees. You have to do the first level to get to Level 6. The reward for diamond level 6 - that giver. That's worth fooling around with the timed quest.

My other farm finished the timed quest lickety split because I got 100% and then the next day 200% party spin bonuses. On this farm, I did have a 100% bonus that helped a lot with the first level 5 to get past to the level 6...but then the bonus ran out, but I've figured out I can do it with 5 each egg, goat milk and angora workshops, but you'll need 10 sheep shearing workshops (the time constraint on the last two).

 

I also bought trees and XLs to put out 100 of each, except apples, which I already have. I used mulch on all but the apples, and will finish gold and diamond steps of level 5 by tomorrow morning. I don't mind doing it, as the fruits are ones I need anyway (for the first time in five years I've dropped under 100,000 apples in my barn, which I try not to do), and I've finished the pinatas here, so I'm not interrupting needed crop time. I was going to skip these steps, but I can't pass up the free power feed, combined with being able to put fruits into my barn instead of taking them out, makes this irresistible to me. Of course, EOCD has nothing to do with it.

What's everyone getting with their crate 'o winners? I REALLY would love to get a snail, lion, and/or falcon, don't have any of those yet. So far I've gotten red elephant and red bear, which are good, don't get me wrong, but would definitely appreciate the others.

 

Spots, I only received CC's, SSG, PF or farmwheel spins with my crate o winners so far. Not a pen in sight.

I got all orange upgrades with my free stables, which is usual. I am now up to 25 orange donkeys and 22 orange geese stables all of which have come from freebies. For some reason I almost always get either one or the other or both of those two stables every time. It's kind of weird.

 

wow I cant believe I just messed up big time I wanted to just harvest some trees I had on the field with my workshops cause I was doing the tree quest first then I was going to come back and do the workshops they were all ready at the same time but instead like a dummy I harvested EVERYTHING at once (in my mind I was just harvesting the trees but that's not what I actually did) now I have to wait over 11 hrs to do the second step on the timed quest

 

My crates have yielder farm coins, turbo mulch, CC and party tickets. No stables in sight.

 

So far, the winner's crates are a big 'meh' on this farm - mostly CCs. On the other farm I got a falcon stall, CCs and this morning I got 35 Farm coins! (honestly, I nearly fell outta my chair).

 

I keep forgetting the crates, too many things going on too remember. Just picked up my second one. I have all guests at level 7 and finished the reminiscing quest yesterday. Nothing of interest in either.

 

From my winners crates I've been rewarded with mulch, CCs, party and regular spins, 50SG... and more mulch. Still hoping for a snail too, and a lion... but no such luck yet. The ONE pen I did manage to get so far... was a red bear .

Clash, it's bees for me with chameleons in second place. It is a little weird but also somewhat convenient I can increase the number of bees in my barn pretty quickly.

I've not gotten any stables either just the other goodies everyone else is getting. Still a couple of days to go though so fingers crossed.

 

The only stable I've gotten is a red elephant. Still holding out for a lion - just love those guys.

 

No snail or Lion on this farm yet! I did get a Red Peacock!

 

Only one stable so far - a red bear.

 

what boxes is everyone getting the stalls in? 1,2,3,4,5???

 

I don't remember which number crate gave me the red bear.... but stables are on every box's reward list (check the spoilers on the FAQ)
