So bonehead move of the year...while I wait for stuff to do I decided to open up a bunch of farm wheel crates. So I was doing in them in sections so as not to go over. Some how I mess up and opened them all at once! Two thousand regular spins down the tube. Imagine the lost yellow dairy and sheep shearing upgrades I lost! Keeps me up at night.

Oh Cats50! What a shame. I don't know how you can keep from opening those crates. I open mine every day - it's like Christmas every day, well until I have opened them and/or spun the Wheel that is! xD

I have finished decorating the tree, done the Stocking Stuffer and am just collecting and doing the puzzles/decoration sorting as I go along. I am pretty sure I will finish both these with ease - even doing these on the baby farms, what's to lose? I only go into those once a day but it is still prizes with not much effort! :music:

Hope you all had a great Christmas and wishing everyone the very best for 2025! :inlove:

Both farms are done with the puzzles as of last night and I've started donating to the top of the tree. Yule Yarn feels like it's draging its feet tho...

Yule yarn IS dragging it's feet and I'm not paying over $30USD to get two more ornament boxes. So it can just drag its feet.

I think I'm to the last harvest of the event crop for this farm - when I harvest this afternoon, I'll finish the Christmas tree and have the cloud row.

I just now put out the giver that rewards the ornament boxes for the remainder of the event. Hoping that helps speed that part up.

Did you place the giver that rewards an ornament box? We get two boxes a day after the giver is placed and that sped things up for me. Just completed Yarn lvl 14 and placed the cookie giver (all puzzles completed, so keeping cookie boxes unopened to collect rewards when the event's over).

BP was generous with time for lvl 13 Yarn - over two minutes, so hopefully everyone is able to complete and receive both star coins AND the cookie box giver :)

From lvl 14, time dropped back to under a minute. I think I had total brain fog when using the solution given for lvl 14. No idea what happened, but the steps didn't match and I used 3 trees to get the second reward which is PF. So odd as what I copied down matched the solution, but my boxes were different - need new glasses! No worries, my goal was the giver at lvl 13 and anything else is a gift. Very pleased with all rewards and will just do my best for the rest and fingers crossed to get the Gingerbread Rudy egg at lvl 21 :D
Same issue for me and solution to lvl 18. Was able to complete it and first few steps were a match so I could finish on my own. As Pups mentions below, having the first several steps is very helpful. I know I would otherwise be too stressed to enjoy the game!

I completed the Tree top yesterday - one of my 142 wheel spins for Extreme Athlete yielded a 6hr 100% crop bonus which got me the remaining crops needed for the tree - win-win!

Again, really appreciate all the helpful tips and encouragement from others as I never would have attempted this due to the holiday. Wishing everyone success however they're playing. :)

I have finished decorating my tree :inlove:

I am on the last puzzle and should be done with it tomorrow.

That just leaves the yarn sorting mini game. It is slow going. I had planned on waiting to put out the Colorful chaos giver so I could get the Super grow but have decided to collect the ornament boxes for now to finish up the mini games.

Overall, at first, the event seemed daunting with so many parts to it but like always, once we get going, it works out fine. There was plenty of time built in to enjoy the holidays and not fret over harvests. I would love the holly crop to be a permanent addition to the game. I've enjoyed growing it :)

Best wishes to you all :)

Thank you @miekje9 for your charts and solutions. While I don't need to write the entire plan down, it does help to see the first 2 or 3 moves to get me started and then I am ok on my own. I've used a fir timer twice and have 6 remaining and only 5 more levels to do so I'm in good shape to finish this event.

I've enjoyed the more laid back approach to the event and would love it if BP adopted this style a few times a year. Rather than an event each week, maybe an event that lasts longer so to enjoy our farms and possibly get in some normal farming. :)

Happy New Year world!:inlove: I was not going to do this event BUT, here I am finished decorating the tree,:music: stuffed the stockings,:) and played all the joyful puzzles! I have 3 more Yule yarn to play after I get 3 more ornament boxes!:p
But I have managed to get enough star coins and have bought "The Grouch Egg" and have put it in the Pet play area and I now also have the Jumbo tree! So I have certainly reached my goals! I hope to get the last prize of the gingerbread rudy egg but I will see how that works lol Good luck and have fun!

Yay, you! Congratulations on your great progress! If you have enough timers, it should be possible to get the GRE - says she who has fingers and toes crossed (and six timers)!

I used star coins for the candles and also have three more yarn games to play. I think because of the candles, I am short on SC for the tree. Do you (or anyone) know if we can replay games after lvl 21? If we can, and get SC for extra games, I might earn enough for the tree.

Happy New Year 2025 to everyone, the year turned 32 minutes ago in Finland!

    As a matter of fact:

So when we get all 21 levels done in Yule Yarn, can we get MORE STAR COINS (25) by playing those played levels again, or is there a choice between three so-called "hot" items in the event store, i.e. 220% giver, piccolo Box x2 or Super Jumbo Tree?

Once you have fully completed all 21 mini-games, you won't be able to get more Star Coins. To get more, you'll need to "fail" a mini game to get 15 Star Coins. Like that you can get more.

Is it 21 games played you receive the Gingerbread Rudy Egg - OR - level 21 successfully completed gets you the Gingerbread Rudy Egg?
