It's what i understood, but i've just lost one game because i didn't receive the 15 coins Will that be because i completed the 21

games already? I thought there was a second round

 

FAQ

Each Mini-Game level played earns you 25 Star coins. Exiting a mini-game earns you 15 consolation Star coins.

You can get the consolation amount every time you exit/fail to finish a level until you successfully complete it in time, after that replaying the minigame Level won't reward anything.

 

Thanks for the help for finishing the yarn game. I have now completed the yarn puzzle, the puzzle game, the tree decorating and the stocking stuffer. On the yarn puzzle, I only needed 1 fir timer and still have 28 left over.

Hi, Northy, you know me and my sometimes challenged brain to 'understand' how things work. Tomorrow, I'll complete 21 games and hopefully with 7 timers be able to get the Rudy egg. I will have 230 SC after completing lvl 21. Not enough for the Jumbo tree. I'm still not clear how to get more SC without spending BB on a pack. Could you please let me know if this is correct:

My understanding from what you mention is "I can replay lvls, but should not complete them in order to get 15 SC for each incomplete game?" If this is correct, how do I not complete it?

My PC lags a lot and I missed completing on time a fair few games because items clicked don't stay in place and rise up, or drop down, again. I've done the usual restart/updates/clearing cache, etc. and think it's just old PC (or old me!) or busy internet during holidays!

Thanks so much for helpful tips. After completing lvl 21 tomorrow, I'll need to review how to exit without completing. Hopefully with my 7 timers, I can complete lvl 21 on time and get the Rudy egg!

Do not complete 21 if you plan to play it again for 15 star coins. Once you complete all the levels, you cannot play anymore to win more star coins. Be sure you plan accordingly so that you use your last ornament box for the completed game and win the pet egg.

 

The English FAQ is not worded quite right. It is not "[e]ach Mini-Game level played earns you 25 Star coins." 25 star coins come from successfully completing the game in the available time.

 

I earned 25 SC consistently for each game completed even when the timer ran out to get the bonus/second item. I completed every game whether or not the timer was still ticking. I have one game remaining to play tomorrow - lvl 21.

My thinking is that with seven timers, I should be able to complete it to get the egg - as long as I reset the timer in time!

After lvl 21, my thinking is I replay the games I have not completed in time and quit early for the 15SC consolation prize. Once I have enough SC for the tree (or whatever else I chose), then I continue playing for the bonus item missed the first go-round.

Despite English being my first language, I many times find it challenging to 'know' what is stated in the FAQ until I actually play the game. Some aspects of the game continue to perplex as I will do something that makes it behave differently. That's what's happening in the Yarn game when I click the boxes...sometimes the yarn drops in the box, other times it jumps out...just the opposite of my intention. Obviously, I'm doing something differently...just don't know what.

Thanks, Pups, my first goal with lvl 21 is to complete it in time and get the Rudy egg. Even if I don't get any more SC, I won't mind as I got the Grouch egg and have been waffling about how to spend the remaining coins. The tree would be nice, but if not, then the Piccolo and some crates. I'm not a fan of Wonder items as 99.9% of the time, they give something I don't need

Since you already completed 20 mini games and got 25 star coins for each one, I don't think you can go back and get more star coins. I think you can try to finish it within the time limit to get the bonus rewards but not any additional star coins.

You can play level 21 and exit it to not finish it and get 15 star coins. Then your final attempt should use your fir timers to give yourself enough time to complete it within the time to get the Rudy egg.

 

Failing is MAYBE easy... just wait... so after 21 winning games just lose games with Your extra games

edit: OK, now 20 games played WITHIN time... so have to lost game 21 and exit... Why someone tells that we need many timers to get level 21 in-time? Has it so little time? 18 moves, LVL20 there is 22 moves...

 

From what I can see on the solution thread, lvl 21 gives 54 seconds to complete on time and get both 25 SC and Rudy egg. My problem with not finishing on time is, I believe, my slow internet/old PC, or misplacing items in boxes. I couldn't complete 9 games on time for these reasons. That's why I'm holding my timers and will try to use them before time runs out because I really would like to get the Rudy egg.

If you are good at finishing on time, then I'm sure you won't have any problem

@puppiesnponies Just now, while preparing supper, I understood what you were saying about 'completing' the games. I think my confusion is how I perceived the FAQ and tied 'completing' to finishing on time, getting 25 SC, AND the second reward.

 

For others who are having difficulty understanding the few messages above: to get the 15 Star Coins you need to press the "X" to exit the mini game or run out of moves. Do not complete the last mini game #21 and repeat until you have enough Star Coins for the prizes you want. Make sure that you keep one ornement boc to be able to complete mini game #21 to get the Pet Egg.

 

I have decided to play up to game 20 and with two lots of Ornaments each day, play a few more games, letting the time run out, gather as many Star Coins as I can.

I know that I can mess up, it has been known, but it seems a shame not to maximise on my excess Ornaments! What could go wrong!

Solving the way to move the ornements around, filling and closing each box, even after the time runs out = 25 Star Coins

Running out of moves and of the backup moves or exiting the game before solving it = 15 Star Coins

Solving the mini game under the alloted time = getting the second prize

I'll do like illy1996, not solve mini game 21, replay it over and over to get the consolation prize of 15 Star Coins by exiting the game.

 

I will probably do it on the penultimate game, therefore being able to get the 25 Star Coins by finishing it but out time.
I will, however, only do it till I have the right amount of Star Coins to get what I want and then head for the finish line!

I should have more sense, I have already messed up by deleting my Skateboard Mayhem thinking that I could get it to give me PF while waiting to finish the other game! *Head Slap* - read the FAQs - including the not so small and highlighted bit below the item!

 

Woohoo! I have finished the Waiting for Santa event! Deleted Skateboard Mayhem and Colorful Chaos from park, and now have the CR up and running and I was able to finish last 3 mini games on time and sooo I now have the Gingerbread rudy egg too!

OMG I forgot to say a big Thank you to miekje9 because without your help I would not have reached my goal in the Yule Yarn event

 

A huge thank you to everyone who shared strategy - especially miekje9 for the solutions and Northy for the simplified FAQ. Without your help, I never would have completed this multi-layered event.

This morning after collecting my two ornament boxes, I debated quitting lvl 21 without solving it, or just following my usual way of completing it. I decided to complete it for my own peace of mind. It's silly, but I do get stressed with timed events and I want to enjoy the game when I play. With one timer, I completed lvl 21 and got 25SC and the Rudy egg. Used 230 SC for a Piccolo and a lightbulb. Rudy's in the Park waiting to hatch! I used the second box to pick up much needed glue (lvl 2) then placed more Red stickers. Moving forward, I'll use daily boxes to pick up the other 8 rewards for incomplete levels...four more days if I don't run out of timers!

Next goal: reach lvl 800 in Baha - just a personal goal - expect it will take about two more weeks. Then, I shall totally rearrange my giver areas and move the highest givers from Baha to Mainland, and take all the Seasonal ones out of inventory and place on Baha. In real life, we are downsizing and I think this carried over to the game, as I find it bothers me to have so many Seasonal givers and no where to put them.

Congratulations sanddollar, I finished it too. My game crashed only once because of the internet problem and my computer did not display any of the solution pictures, but I received all the rewards without any loss and spent my star coins on the super mammoth tree. Now it is on the sunflower hill and I will not have to destroy it. Congratulations to all the farmers who finished it.
