what do single pens do?

I got a single pen off the tree of wisdom and i didn't know what it did. I noticed i was able to put it in my park, then I noticed it let me put an animal in there (i put a breeded chicken, cant remember the name of it)

I don't really know what it does, can anyone explain please? thanks

 

Gives the opportunity to introduce different breeding animals and offers a very small ep of that joy.

Some play the game as just a pretty board, without any effective farming compulsion or events.

So the product is like colorful hay bales that you can buy in a game store.

 

It's just for your own enjoyment, it will give a really really really small amount of EP.

 

If there is a really lovely breeding animal that you like to look at, this enables you to do that without having to put out a whole pen that features the animal. I have one single pen with a fire horse in it, that never moves, because, well, it looks like my horse thinks she looks

 

Many years a go, I put GOLD (or other-named best breeding animal) to it, because if it is there:

1) because if I put such a valuable breeding animal there in the single enclosure, I can't accidentally sell it at, for example, a tenth of the price at the market by putting one zero at too low a price

(that's happened, I didn't have time to cancel the sale and it went to a lucky buyer at a super discount!)

2) or I can't deliver it either to happen accidentally. My real-life girlfriend put that best breeding dog there, a gorgeous black K9, and then looks at it every time she collects the other EP items in that area.
