What happens to unused event items?

    Do the event plants I grew for EP's and the mugs that dropped just sit in my inventory forever? Will they at least be hidden?

    They will be exchanged automatically for some EP and CC, usually a few days after the event :) You can always find the amounts at the bottom of the FAQ :)
