What time are Harvey's gifts given?

Hello again
I'm wondering if there is a particular time of day that our favorite little bunny gives his gifts? He apparently just gave me a 12 hour harvester, which started immediately (not a coupon). It's 2:30 in the afternoon and my farm was harvested and replanted (by hand) hours ago, and I won't be around the rest of the day. The harvester gift is nice, but useless because of the timing. Is there any way to stop the harvester? Or change it to a coupon? At the least, is there a certain time of day that his gifts are given, so that I can try to time my crops around it (in case he gives me the harvester again)? I have so few coupons, and the harvester is such a precious treat, and it's such a shame that it randomly started in the middle of the afternoon and will end in the middle of the night and that I will get very little use out of it.

 

Hi steph- A mod can correct me if I am wrong but my Harvey's give their gifts each day at approximately the same time I won the actual Harvey. Is it possible you won your Harvey in the afternoon? Mine give gifts every 24 hours and since I got them not long after the event started on the first day, their daily gifts arrive at that time. Hope this helps....

 

I'm sure that my Harvey gives coupons for the harvester. I've just checked on the coupon arrow on the harvester and my coupon gift is there. Good luck.

 

Thanks Pnp. I won three Harveys during the event, at all different times. Since I'm rarely getting pop-ups when Harvey sends gifts, I haven't noticed a particular time of day. Based on the gift records Teddy kindly looked up for me a few days ago (to tell me what I had received so far), it seems one Harvey sends gifts around 20:15 CET (2:15 pm for me), and another around 22:30 CET (4:30 pm for me). I have no idea what time Harvey #3 sends gifts.
So, if each Harvey sends gifts at approximately the same time of day that they were won, does that mean that in the future a harvester might start at 2:15, or it might start at 4:30, or it might start at whatever the third Harvey time is? That doesn't seem very fair or user-friendly.

Adding: Thanks Cassie. I would have loved a coupon...mine definitely was not a coupon. In fact, I've been signed into the game for hours but was away from my computer. I came back to my computer to find that the harvester had been running for the last 15 minutes. There was a pop up saying I had 12 hours' harvester use, and when I clicked on the harvester (I could already see its motor running) it said I had 11 hours 45 minutes left. This just doesn't seem right.

 

That's bad if it comes on any time. Not much of a gift then. Another thing to add to the Suggestion thread.

The gifts from the super friends come every 24 hours, roughly, but there is no set time of collecting the gift. If your gift was machinery hours, it starts as soon as the gift is received - or, if you are offline at the time the gift should be issues, it will begin shortly after you login and get the confirmation popup. All I can do is confirm that you were logged in at the time of the gift, 18.08.2015, 20:13:41 CEST - you have been logged in for over an hour, so you indeed noticed the pop-up 15 minutes late if the timer was already running. Very fortunate as you noticed it quickly, but if you cannot put it to good use, I am really sorry. It is not possible to change it for coupons at the moment, but thank you very much for your suggestion - we know that coupons are always more appreciated than the machinery hours so we will forward this to the Game Team, and hopefully this can be implemented, or at least the countdown should be set to start once the pop-up is accepted. No need to repost it in the suggestion box, I'm forwarding this right away.

Thank you for passing my suggestion along...I wish there was something I could do about the harvester, especially because it is going to run out in about 10 minutes and I've tried unsuccessfully to sign onto the farm for the past 2 hours. I stayed up late just so I could use it, but the farm has been inaccessible for hours (I only see the maintenance "quick break" sign). I'm not sure if I need to start a separate thread about that, since the new thread would still be in this Tech Help section.

In terms of the Harvey situation, thank you for your offer of further assistance. If you wouldn't mind, could you tell me what gifts I've received August 17, 18, and 19th? I only know about the harvester and am curious about the other gifts...plus seeing the different times the gifts are given will help me figure out what time Harvey #3 gives gifts. Thank you so much.

Update: After two hours of trying to sign on, I was finally able to get into the game...at 2:17 a.m. ...two minutes after my harvester ran out. Teddy, today is NOT my day.

Sadly, it was not only your bad day - the issue was spread widely not only on Farmerama, but most Bigpoint games and services. For a few hours this morning (starting around 5 am CEST) there was an outage causing all these troubles. I am really sorry you have experienced all this. I would advise you to contact support for getting the hours back but I am afraid it will lead to a negative response since most players have been affected by this - it was terrible timing for you, definitely . Missing the end by 2 minutes - that was extremely close !

Thank you for your prompt response, and I'm sorry my reply is so late! I haven't been able to get on the forum much lately. Thank you for listing the gifts Harvey gave me! As for the 12 lost harvester hours, I won't bother contacting support about it, since as you say there was a company-wide issue at the time. It was for sure bad timing for me, but there's an expression: "Sometimes in life you're the windshield, and sometimes you're the bug." I guess this time I was the bug ! I just hope BP takes the suggestion to heart to change Harvey's harvester gifts to coupons, and I'll keep my fingers crossed that one of those little bunnies will give me another harvester before they disappear from my farm!
