I have asked in the past several times, but we need new recipes for the Artisan crafts village as prizes. The same old recipes are getting boring and it was so much fun a couple of years ago to win new recipes for the village. Thank you. Also, I quite like the timed events, hard as they are! (Before someone corrects me, by 'recipes' I mean new things to make in each of the five crafts.)

My suggestion for upcoming events is to start them in the evening when I and nearly everyone else is back home.

I voted for a variety of tasks and new mechanisms because I don't want to see all the time the same event style growing crops and try to get drops. The timed quests are something different and more interesting but I want to try more new things for events.
I also believe that the breeding animals requirements should be less too.

Aristo1 I don't think this is possible because farmerama players live in different countries around the world so everyone is in different time zone.

Yours isn't the only time zone that exists. No matter what time the event starts, someone will be inconvenienced. Where I live, events more often than not start when I'm tucked up in bed. At least you can plant event crops soon after the event starts.

I totally agree with Yagki and voted for more "country themed" events. I used to adore the clues...........and then all of us trying to figure out which country it would be.:p
I also found I learned quite a bit about the country we were doing for the event. I looked almost all of them up on wikipedia. It was great to find their native plants, flowers, customs and their history. I liked the themed flowerbeds too! I wish we had more!

Since this is truly a global farm game....it seems fitting that we have events!:music:

I'd like to see less of a focus on breeding. It's been in a lot of the recent events in some form. The powerfeed issue is huge, of course, and I'm glad to see some experimentation with better powerfeed rewards. A previous responder's suggestion of shortened powerfeed mill time during events is also very interesting. But, aside from the powerfeed problem, breeding is a heavily manual task which I only do on Baby Boom days. Because of the variety of types of animals and my lack of powerfeed, I can never seem to build up enough stock ahead of time to help. So I have to carve out a chunk of time to click a lot during those two days. This is not one of the most fun parts of the game for me. :)

Just a suggestion, but if you really want more players to contribute, rather than just "forum regulars", then offer a small reward. The reward could vary.

Also, someone else mentioned bringing back recipes.. Add my "vote" to that.

Also, I would like to see repeats of prior events. One I REALLY would like to see again was the one that had the music boxes as rewards -- the givers that gave out langos and the cloud row that gave out harvester coupons. However, there are no doubt events from before I event joined which I would enjoy doing.

    Hmmm. Hard choice.

I would like events that didn't require new crops each & every time.

I :inlove: the timed events (even the current comic ones :D) as they require me to strategise, whereas I don't have to think about most events.

A variety of tasks keeps me stimulated, on how I wish to achieve them.

:inlove: The country themed events. OT: the advent calendar cloud row only had 5 1x2 plots, so I can't display all 7 of my Flowerbeds together . I would like 1 cloud row with 7 1x2 places to have all my flowerbeds together xD

Enough time for events for me.

The rewards have been great, but forget to plant my mystery boxes, pens and trees. I may have a bonanza waiting for me :D.

A pretty hard choice, so let me leave a comment about all options:

Less event plants – definitely event plants are very annoying and we all seem to be fed up with them. The amounts vary in different events, but the feeling is always the same: they are enormous! Since quite a long time I manage to finish almost all events, but sometimes I’m close to giving up. Not because it is impossible, but because it’s boring and sometimes frustrating. The requirement for event plants in some events is so high that to finish them in time we have to adjust our real live schedule to the game requirements. This don’t sound right. Most of us has day jobs or go to school or have any other real life activities. The game should give as fun in our free time like it used to be in the past. Event plants and the growing requirements for them, changed things, and made the game go in a wrong direction. Of course one can say it is not obligatory to finish events or even to start them. But events are important part of the game. Those are challenges and most players wants to participate in them. They also in some way integrate the whole community as players talks a lot about them and strategies they use. Not participating in events is not a good solution as it often is the first step to leave the game for good.
Less requirements for event plants and more task that involves normal farm plants would be definitely a good solution.

More timed steps - time steps often makes the event mechanism more interesting and more challenging. They are less boring as you have to find different strategies for them. But this is also a solution that shouldn’t be overused. Time steps are often much harder to finish for players who have less time (due to their jobs they can log once or twice a day), or are less advance (this don’t only means lower level and shorter time of playing, but also these who play for a long time but for some reasons achieve things slower than others – don’t have thousands of trees, stables, workshops, and can’t afford buying all the time expensive crafting products).
The time quests in comic events that we had lately were pretty interesting, but already some players had problems to complete them. The possibility to pass such step without completely finishing it is very good. Still, I won’t like an event consisting only of different short time quest.

A variety of tasks and new mechanisms – as events with event plants are extremely boring, a variety of tasks and new mechanism is something that seems to be something very desirable. Less events, but with more interesting mechanisms might give much more fun than endless seeding of useless and so much hated even plants. Again you have to be careful not to “overdo it”. Rebuilding (not to write “destroying” ;)) the farm almost every day to prepare it for next task and every challenge might be fun for once or twice, but not if it will be repeated over and over again. I also think many of us have some specific areas on the farm where we put things we most like or most need in our everyday strategies for the game. And if and event will force us to destroy this area (otherwise we won’t complete the challenge), this won’t be fun anymore…

Country themed events – This was an interesting idea, but also caused some problems. First of all I know people who just care about the requirements for the event and totally don’t care about the story behind it.
Second thing is that it sometimes lead to totally unnecessary discussions why some countries “are treated better than others”. Some countries already had their national events, but they already forgot it and players want another one, while others are still waiting for their first ever country themed event. I also remember some discussion (on another board) on rewards that on some events were seen as better than on others and this also made players ask for repeating their national event because something important was missing.
The idea of country themed events is really nice, but knowing how it ends, I won’t put my voice on that ;)

Longer duration of events – this sound like a good idea, especially as giving a chance to finish the events for more players – especially this might be helpful for those who can’t sit on their farms 24/7 because of their real life activities. Those who have more time and want to finish fast will do that anyway and this gives them more time for normal farming. The slower ones will at last have more fun with the events and higher chance to finish them.
As for some changes on the hours when events starts and ends… I think starting the events later in the afternoon or in the evening is not a good solution not only because of time zones. This might also cause more technical troubles (e.g. if bugs appear at the start of the event). But I wonder if it is possible to extend the events a few hours so that they would finish in the evening (20:00 – 22:00 P.M.). This will also be nod to the working and learning players who lost not only the first hours of an event, but what sometimes more important the last day, when sometimes they need just one more chance to harvest their crops to finish it.

Improved rewards – this sounds very “catchy” at first glance, but… what does it means improved rewards? Lately the rewards in most events already seems to be more interesting than they use to be in the past, but still I hear many complains. Why? The answer is simple, for each of us this improved rewards means something different.
As a high level player who loves leveling up, I won’t mind much more EP. I also like all useful rewards like for example superfeed, superdung etc. Rows of clouds that gives nice EP bonus is also interesting for me, unlike separate items, as I have no place to put them out and they lands in the inventory.
All sorts of seedlings, party spins and other rewards that gives random items seems attractive at first, but from what I read on some boards often also leads to frustrations when one players get the best and most desired trees or seedling and another some useless xl trees and yellow stables that his inventory is already full of.
I even read somewhere comments that interesting rewards will be only RC trees, hundreds of golden bananas, superfeed, superdung etc. but only in amounts no less than 1000, pink stables and workshops or at least breeding animals from highest stages.
So choosing improved rewards might looks interesting, but is it possible to improve the rewards so that everybody will be happy? I don’t think so :)

I'm totally satisfied with the current events – I’m not TOTALLY satisfied, but I have a feeling that changes that I already noticed might really make the events pretty satisfying :)
