Where are my flowers?!

I just spent ages making 100's of flowers (I can't remember what they're called but they looked a little like Sunflowers). They've vanished! They're not in my barn, I can't even buy anymore seeds for them.

Has the game had an update where they were removed or something? Because that seriously sucks if that's the case.

 

If you are referring to the Sunchokes, they were the event flower and now that the event is over, they have been converted to EPs and CCs as described in the Chestnut Event FAQ.

Oh no! So I spent all that time for nothing? I made 100s, and they took so long to grow!

There should have been something to make it clear, they were there when I joined the game, so how was I supposed to know?

This game is kind of hard to enjoy when I don't know what will just randomly disappear.
