Thank you for all the comments so far. Obviously, getting florist first was a mistake. I do have the spa from the grove, am trying for another craft through Renzo, but it looks like that will take some time.

Good suggestions on achieving level 3, though... did not realize that was where the terror bouquet kicked in!

Start raising your turkeys for your Paint Factory now. You will need 3 paint brushes per bouquet.

Ah thanks! I have 4 paint factories... am thinking I should get another one or two, then. (I can always store them)

I have a question about the MM recipes. First of all, I don't have either of them, and I have also not looked very closely at them. But is it really worth it to make them yourself?

I use TB to be able to get more MM crops for FSQs and Cerberus items. It then seems counter intuitive to me to use some of the MM crops to make TB. Isn't it better to raise cc some other way and buy the TB? By checking regularly I am able to buy TB for less than 45k, usually it costs a bit more than 50k, and during MM often over 70k.
This approach is of course dependent on someone being willing to make and sell them, but that doesn't seem to be a problem :p

    Mir,

Crypt Vase should be out of the question. It can be bought very easily (I never do -I don't see any value in it-, but I never make it either, though I do have the recipe) at less than 10K CCs.

Terror Bouquet is a different story. I used to buy it when it typically sold at less than 30K CCs (I bought dozens even at less than 18K). That seems to have changed for the time being: it's now hard to get one below 50K CCs (I buy them right away when I do).

I've already explained elsewhere (I think it was in farmer_broke's thread) these are probably the most difficult recipes to assess in cost terms, because most of their ingredients are non tradeable. So, I assign a virtual arbitrary cost to each spooky crop, related to their relative growth times. I used bonetrees as the benchmark, assigning them 100 CCs. Hence, terror plant at 125, beady eye bush at 250, tombstones at 200 and phantoms at 300 (all of these make the set of ingredients for either CV or TB).

Additionally considering 100 CCs as the virtual arbitrary cost of 1 wire, the cost of making them would be -my mkt prices, as always-: CV, 47500 CCs; TB: 72200 CCs.

And disregarding that virtual cost of 1 wire (which I think is correct to do if you have mountains of wire, like I do -I now have almost 58K in stock that I won't ever be able to use-): CV, 43500; TB: 66200.

So, as a conclusion, a buy is a good buy for TB if below 60K CCs a piece (costs above calculated with paint-palettes at 3K CCs each; as you may have already realized, I obviously don't make it either; but I made some last megaMM because they were running as high as 90K CCs each in my mkt). For CV, though I don't see any point in buying it, it's always convenient: it's typically sold at 20% of its cost or less.

Thanks Aluntino, now I won't have to consider getting the recipe ;) I would even value the MM crops higher than the normal crops, so that buying it is even more desirable. The reason is that there are still quite a few things I really want from MM, and I don't have lots of crops saved up. Will just continue to look out for good offers in the market :D

The reason why I assigned 100 CCs to the benchmark crop, bonetrees, is that its 02:00 base growth time is 1/12 of a typical MM but sometimes MMs are longer, even 2/3 days long once or twice a year. So, I compared it to the typical price in my mkt of an 18:00 base growth time crop, 1/40 of a month, which is 100 CCs. It seemed to me a fair comparison then. But I agree that now, with so many new spooky crops and quests around, I should probably shift upwards that figure. I haven't changed it so far because, in all frankness, that benchmark price does its job of assessing for me what to do: make or buy. I've only sold some TBs or CVs bought from mkt when I could cash in a fat difference. Last megaMM was one of those occasions.

    Hi Mir/Aluntino

If you into Growing Spooky Crops during MM Event which I love this Event. It a Must to get to Level 3 Florist and Activate MM Receipe From Jack Shop During MM. You can unlock Crypt Vase From Jack Shop too. But Spooky EP does not really Help Me much since I am Level 93 Farmer.

But what really Helps Me is the Terror Bouquet Receipe as is Reduce the Growing Time of Spooky Crops by 20%. Spring Wreath is the only other Receipe worth Getting. These are so far the only Two Worth Making from Florist Craft and make good use of Wires.

MM only Runs for 24 Hours for once a month for 10 Months during the Whole Year. In October is always runs for more than 24 Hours Twice. The Longest Duration is Halloween, But Halloween was different this year.

To Make a Terror Bouquet does require 100 Abominable Plants, 100 Bone Trees and 100 Googly Eye Bush for Every One of these you make you have to restock these during MM....Since you cannot buy any spooky crops from the Markets.

This does prevent you growing other needy spooky crops during MM. But you can buy these Terror Bouquets from the Markets saves you depleting your stocks of spooky crops of Abominable Plant, Bone Trees and Googly Eye Bush. TB normally falls in price after MM Event depending your market price is well worth buying them this is one of the Two Reasons to do this. As it is what i have been doing for some time.

There other Reason to buy TB is to sell it back to the Market, just before MM to Make a good Profit. As Each MM Event only really need to use Two TB using it with Pinkie Pie Pie that is runs for almost 24 Hours. Thanks for two new Spooky Clouds which makes Crypt Vase and Terror Bouquet even better value during MM. Can make good CC without the Need to Grow Spooky Crops

Terror Bouquet normally Sells for about 30K to 40K Now they are selling for over 70K.....But Sadly you cannot buy Many of these in the markets as there not many of them for Sale as more Farmers are buying them rather than Making because you have to restock these spooky crops during MM. Therefore these will go up in Price as they are becoming Rarer in the Markets atm they is only 6 for Sale in my Market

There are Many Newbies who are not Level 3 Florist, They have no choice but to buy these TB from the Markets for MM Events Since they cannot Make TB Crafts This is Extra Reason why there is shortage of TB in the Market. Therefore Once I have got The Spooky Crops Quests out of the Way I can make lots of CC Making and Selling TB to take advantage of this. Secondly I can Make Additonal Cerberus to Place in my shipwreck to boost my Bahm EP in My Markets TB was selling for as high as 100K

I am now able to Reap Spooky Crops, Even Quicker with TB Cloud Row during MM. I only use Super Grow and Suzi Super Grow to Nuke New Event Crops during Events....I use the Surplus on Spooky Crops, using White Innocents to Enhance The Effects of Super Grow there is no point using Fruit Cake as you need Gold Slot for TB during MM.

The Newly Introduce Soup and Friends Quest Rewards you with Huge Amounts of Super Grow for each Breeding Animal you Donate to this new quest if you have any of them. This Really Helps you Reap in Loads of Spooky Crops, either helps you unlock many things in Jack Shop, Makings lots of CC making and Selling TB or Help Complete MM Quests. Also a massive Bonus of Bahm Ep too with Soup and Friends Quest as I Sold a Picasso Horse for 14 Million CC use these CC to Make more CC by Buying and Selling in the Markets;)

Mooboy, I am just curious about one thing. If you read my discussion with Aluntino above, you will know that I don't think it is worth making the TB, but that I rather prefer to buy them. So why do think it is a must to get the recipe? To me that is just a waste of MM crops, to get a recipe I don't intend to use. And it is not like I have the crops saved up, I would have to grow them.

In my opinion, it's definitely not a must.

Crypt Vase recipe can be disregarded from the start: even though it does not waste a slot that can be used, for instance, for ZAB, that provides triple effect not only on spooky crops but all crops, including Baha's, it makes no sense to me because spooky crops EPs are low by definition (and CVs can be very cheaply bought).

Terror Bouquet is not needed in large quantities. By properly timing its usage -and PP activation-, it may even suffice with just one unit per typical 24 hs MM session -which is what I almost always do-. It's no big deal buying it, in fact, not even now, as seen above.

As it always happens with most items, it is cluelessly priced in market. Current prices in the 50/60K CCs range are the exception, not the norm. Hence, I almost never make TBs: I buy them. In fact, last megaMM I exceptionally made some because I had gifted most of my stock of 50+ (all bought at prices ranging from 15K to 25K, 30K tops), ran out of stock quickly, event was long and extended, goal to achieve was enticing (cloud row and all), I needed to supply TBs also for my 2 lower level farms and it was difficult to get one in any of the 3 farms for less than 80/90K CCs then.

This combination is rare as it comes. It won't repeat for a year or so. But I think TBs will keep their high(ish) prices -high compared to what I used to pay for them- up until most of players get the cloud row. It's just a matter of time, maybe a couple of months. From then onwards, for sure, the cloud row effect will generate this (wrong) perception of abundance and TB prices will drop again to levels I bet won't exceed 35K CCs each to slowly slide down to below 30K CCs. When even lower than that, it'll be the time to stock it up in fairly large quantities for both having them at hand, gifting and reselling next time there's a sudden peak surge in demand and, hence, price.

(By the way, in the meantime, I instead prefer to use bonetrees -when abundant, not now- for milling dog feed for sale: 100 bonetrees would mean, in certain periods, 100 dog feeds with a net profit of 40K CCs or even more -considering 100 CCs as virtual cost of each bonetree-; more than enough to buy 1 TB plus saving the terror plants and beady eye bushes I would have needed to make that TB).

So, Mir, I agree: there's no need to struggle to get it; you're more than OK with your buying strategy.

In My View if you have the Terror Bouquet Receipe to Can make many TB as you like as long you have ample stock of these spooky crops. But you have to bear in Mind there seem to be less farmers making and Selling TB in my market. If Fact there is NO TB for Sale in my Market is it sold out there was 5 left this morning. I Guess Many of them was used during Last MM plus many had to use a extra TB as The MM Event was extended due to issues.

Also Consider the fact many farmers do not have spooky crops in stock in their Farm to Make TB to Sell in the Markets, which is what is happening in my market. Or they only have enough spooky crops to make two TB ready for next MM Event. Or is willing to unlock The TB Receipe to be able to Make TB as I have over 20,000 Wires in My Barn Making TB is one of the Good Uses.

What Happens when you want to Buy TB to used during MM when you find there is none in the Market to Buy. I have the TB receipe Activated as Back up just in case i am unable to buy TB from the Markets. I am guess many farmers are spending time to unlock these two cloud rows, not able to fit in restocking spooky crops needed to make TB.

The New Cloud row actually makes more demands of TB in the Markets causing for them to be in short supply or even be none available in the markets. Which is what just happened in my Markets Not Every Market is same as mine as some markets has ample stock of TB in the Markets some Markets they are too expensive to buy or none is available you only have 24 hour MM Windows to restock these spooky crops as i shall keep an eye on things to see if i am wrong or not I am hoping i am wrong for your sakes we shall have to wait and see

The Reason i say it is a must to have TB Reciepe just in case my Prediction is correct

    Hmm... good thoughts.

A related question, I just got bat breeding last MM. I was going to work for the terror bouquet next, but should I do something else during MM instead?

A question for the Pro's (Mir, Aluntino and MooBoy/Ajjg),

Does gifting 5 Trade items give the same results as turning in 5 items ?
I could not find this in the FAQs.

Not quite sure what you are asking. But in general, if you are in the floristry and click on a product (lets do the example of wedding boutonniere), you get 4 options:
    • Gift to a friend
    • Use to upgrade your confectionery: Then you don't get the bonus from the product, but you get trade points for your florist. The same number of points as you get for making a wedding boutonniere, so 20 florist points. You can check can check the trade points in this table. Limited to 5 per day.
    • Eat it: You get the bonus for the product. The bonus for the wedding boutonniere is 40 florist points.
    • Sell it in the market.
Usually the two middle options are very different. But with the wedding products for the florist both options will give you florist points, but eating them gives more points than using them to upgrade. Eating them also has the advantage that you are not limited to 5 per day.

But the cheapest way to get florist points is probably to use white innocence. I use 5 innocence and 5 eggnogs every day, and some pinkie pie pies when I can get them cheaply (they are not soo cheap in my market any more).

Did I answer your question? :p

Hi Woody.....I would Suggest to Build Up Spooky Crops to Unlock The Cloud Row that gives 10% faster growing time of all spooky crops for 24 hours....If you used Terror Bouquet with this cloud row which gives 30% reduce growing time of all spooky crops...But if you used water and Manure aswell All Spooky Crops growing time is halved by 50%....This really Helps Boost your stocks of Spooky Crops during MM Event Window.

Banjoman.....In Artisan Crafting you only allow to Eat/Turning 5 Crafting Items to the corresponding Trade Value Points to help level up your Crafting towards the next level...Per Working Day...Once you Reached Level 5 this option is Disabled

Neighbours....Can send you Crafting Items as a Daily Gift, such as CAC or Terror Bouquet, weather you are referring to this to those who can only gift 5 gifts per day to it neighbours

Sending Craft Items to Neighbours helps those who cannot craft these items yet or cannot afford to buy them from the Markets ;)

Thanks Mir and Mooboy... didn't mean to confuzzle anybody. I wanted to know if I gifted 5 craft items to neighbors that it had the same effect as turning in 5 craft items (i.e. 5 Pretzels) to "Improve skills and level up". I'd prefer to benefit my fellow farmers instead of making items and throwing them into a black hole.

Mir85....In My Market Lavender Jam is actually 2000 or so CC cheaper than Eggnog in my Market....Lavender Jam Gives 125 Confectionery Points Eggnog only gives 100 points... I dont know how much Lavender Jam is in the Markets if they are cheaper than Eggnogs then is worth using Lavender Jam to Level up the Confectionary

Banjoman.....you will find that is more expensive to make Crafts to gives to Neighbours than it is to buy from the Markets as many crafting products are falling in price some are climbing in price not very many though ok

  18. -Mir85-

    -Mir85- Living Forum Legend

Banjo, if you use craft items to "Improve skills and level up" you get trade points. If you gift them to your neighbors, your neighbors get them and they can do whatever they like with them. So the effect is quite different. Note that you can only give one product to any neighbor a day. And it counts as one of the 5/7 free gifts you can send out :) Was this more to the point?

Mooboy, thanks for the tip, but I check regularly, and eggnog is usually cheaper :p

Yes, Mir that answered the question whether you get trade points for gifting neighbors.

Thanks for the tip MooBoy... I found a whole bunch of Lavender Jam that was half as much at the Egg Nog and bought some at 2000 CCs

Banjoman ~ 2000 CCs is really cheap. I still remember that I had to spend up to 18,000 CCs for each Lavender Jam. The cheapest Lavender Jams were around 8000 CCs. Thanks to my best friends..monkeys..I sold lots of them so I can keep buying those Lavender Jams until I reached level 5 Confectionery. I made Easter Marmalade to sell. but since EM is more cheaper I just making them and stock up. Monkeys is still my best friends. Now and forever..lol xD:inlove::music:

woody ~ Try to eat 5 White Innocence daily to add up your Florist trade points. At the same time try to eat as many Wedding Bouquet as you can to help add up your Florist trade points. Wedding bouquet will give you 200 Florist EP. Good Luck! ;)
