Why is this forum treated differently than others?

Specifically speaking, why do we have to wait for a moderator to open up an "official G&T thread" at the event start when an official thread has already been opened in the DE forums?

We're inferior to them? We're not respected enough to be given a forum in which we can discuss trades BEFORE the event begins? What?

I am sorry, but a Moderator has always opened the Gift & Trade Threads, as they do on other language Forums as well. We have always opened the Threads at the start of the Event. Please remember the DE forum is a much larger community, so their Moderators may feel that their threads need the extra amount of time for all the players to post there.
We will discuss this between the EN Team and if it is decided to open future Threads earlier, It still needs to be done by the Moderators.

Yes, you can open the thread now. The DE forum isn't the only forum that already has this thread open, HU is also open. Do we really have to play this game where I list all the other forums who have already opened that thread for it's community and you come up with some excuse as to why it hasn't been done here in this forum? Is it too much to ask for fair treatment? Is this some sort of authority complex the moderators feel the need to have?

For some reason this forum seems to get the short end of the stick in every aspect. While you're discussing this specific thread with the EN team how about also talking about improving the quality of service and improving communication with the community while you're at it. Every other forum also seems to have moderators that care about the game. Moderators that participate in discussion and actively work to improve the community. Why is it that the moderators for this community aren't involved except to enforce their own powers? This is just another example of why this forum lost a lot of good contributors who left and started their own forum, make sure you discuss how you can keep the community involved rather than pushing them away.

 

I am sorry, but we must follow the rules that we were given as Moderators. As stated, we have to seek permission before we can change the rules set out to us.
If we did not care about the Game or the Players, we would NOT be giving our free time to assist players, keep the Forum updated and spend many long hours preparing FAQ's The moderators here are only a very small group and while we do not openly participate on the Forum, we are indeed very busy behind the scenes Every Forum and every other site you visit on the internet have rules, I am sorry for that, but yes every site needs Moderation. We have tried very hard to please our players and not enforce rules unless they are absolutely necessary. Again, I am sorry if you feel this is not the case.
I suggest if you think the EN Moderators are not meeting the standards outlined by BP, to contact Support to discuss this further.
