WOOOOOO HOOOOOOO!! I actually got to FINISH something!!
Love getting the new Frilled Lizard and Stick Insect stables!! My crates gave a pink Chameleon and a red bee.

(Would love to trade the red bee for a red crab next G&T!! Anyone interested?? My farm name is in my siggy below...)

 

Finished! Nothing to sing about with skips, even with using the "don't make no difference" deluxe hormones.

I stopped short of going for the last crates as experience in this game has taught me that the Crates o' Crap mostly give the lowest valued item, with the rarest of rare chance of getting a higher value item. I felt like it was too much PF to use for the slightest chance of getting what I wanted.

Update: When another BB was announced, I caved in and decided to go for the reptile and arthropod crates. I already have a pink bear so didn't bother with the mammal crate. The return of PF for the two crates was ok and I really wanted to win a red crab and orange tortoise. I won a red crab and a red anaconda. I was happy to win one at least one of the pens I was after, plus I was looking to build a red anaconda and now I don't need to.

Another Update: I just made enquiries about a base crab pen coming with the red upgrade and found out that it doesn't. So for those who win the red upgrade and don't have the base, the upgrade is useless until a base can be obtained. It is a pity that this pen cannot be traded during G & T as it is one of the hardest to get. Hopefully it can become tradeable soon.

Got some good skips, 1 Sultan camel, 1 Rattle anaconda, 2 toxic anacondas, and many Emeralds, Cobracondas, Jade & Spotted elephants, all from base animals. I only donated base animals, crocs, rhinos, dragonflies, camels, anacondas, hippos.
My crates were red lobster and orange tortoise.
P.S. No bonus badges this time

 

I also used base animals for donations....seals, green tree monitor and dragonflies. I have been too busy with real life to do any marketing to either make some money or to see what may be the best animal so I just went with the highest donation value base animal for each group that I have in my barn. No detailed analysis here....just click and send

 

I also finished! I received a red butterfly stable and the green tree monitor.

woohooo I just got my first green tree monitor from the crate of reptile

 

Completed it in a couple of hours this morning, I am breeding up to a pink apiary so the insect part was easy enough. Had no luck at all with the deluxe, never buying them again. The reptile part was a slog, that took the longest time scrabbling around looking for spare chameleons.... anyway, it's done, red crab, red chameleon, underwhelmed

 

I'm really worried about this group of strategy folks. Those pens are nice I guess and I sincerely hope you like them. But they sure are aweeeeeeeeeeeee-fully expensive.

I just don't think I can let go of the few things I have for this junk. I'm broke anyway.

 

I have had a bit of luck in the past with Crates of Devotion and had six Flying Elephants so I bred four of them recently and got an Exotic Elephant (always with the hope I would get two, of course!)

I've been twiddling my thumbs cos the weather is not so good and, having a little supply of PF left over, I decided (please plug your ears FB!) so see if I could get the necessary elephants to get up to the higher echelons of the Career Advice FSQ.

I bred base Elephants, I bred coloured Elephants until I reached a point where I only needed a Carpenter Elephant to get to the penultimate and final levels (if I decide to throw my Exotic Elephant in that is!). So, four Jades went in and got the totally expected Mammoth. Four Mammoths went in to get the last Firefighter Elephant in order to breed the evasive Carpenter Elephant.
What did I get? A Flying Elephant!
Why couldn't those Mammoths be a little more forthcoming! Is it a matter or a matter?

 

The mammoths are now extinct because of that lack of discretion
I've done the same with a couple of "pink" animals

 

I just checked to see how many extra badges* I have accumulated through this outrageous activity and see that I had not quite completed this event! Last section of mammals still requiring six badges! Whoopsie! Now done!
LOL Banjo, now I feel bad about all those Mammoths.
Just dabbling a bit more with White Elephants ... now you can't have any objection to me using them, can you?

*The answer was 195 but is in fact 189!

Edit: Extra Mammal Badges now stands at 252! I just can't stop breeding!

I am back in control and hanging on to my precious PF! I am left with needing six more coloured elephants to finish the FSQ (of course, two of those required are Exotic Elephants but if the Crates of Devotion are as kind to me as they have been, just maybe ... ).

I can't remember enjoying a breeding session like that for a long time. Still not many skips (apart from the one I didn't actually want!) but at least I didn't feel restricted by lack of PF.
