I concur with prior comments that events are stacked too closely, in particular, even with a partially enhanced mill, its not possible to mill enough PF , particularly if you do any other feed milling.

Like most breeding events, I finished in a day. I had stocks of most items, did get some PF and so only had to do 2 rounds of breeding to get the ribbons.

My baby farm did OK, though its no longer much of a baby (level 67). Able to get crab, not interested in toucan workshop for that farm since the toucan statue is long from being opened. I will say that my experience is not that of a "typical" newbie (whatever that is --lol), since I mostly succeeded by effective use of the market, etc. I still think there needs to be a better way to "lead" new people in, so they are not just bored or inundated at the very beginning. Once someone has a few levels under their belt, has a mentor, etc -- then they begin to know if they want to wait, if this is a game for them. To expect them to wait an hour or two for the first few crops to get anything more is just too long. BUT -- that is only at the beginning. Waiting is part of this game!

As has been pointed out before, regardless of offering a longer BB after the event start, the mini BB & PF sale for only 8 hours at the start is an extreme unfair advantage as it cannot be taken advantage of by all players.

Having 3 catagories was a new approach but the bird section put it out of balance. what's wrong with equines? (Horse, Donkey) Ursine (all bears) Ruminants (Cows, Camels, Sheep) and even beavers and mice could have been represented, even for a stretch 'borrow' a breeding animal from the lot to even it out. Even though I'm up there at 94, I could see how players across all levels having to compromise their stock. I would like to see Powerfeed adjusted downward in time, from the basic 9 hour; without mill to 5 hour (lets take a vote!) so farmers can get a handle on events like these and have a sense of accomplishment.
I'll stay away next time Crab or no Crab. There's alot of SIM games out there to choose.
Respecting your player base and giving good value is a neat little way to retain loyalty.

One added positive note. I DO like the fact that almost every event now seems to feature wonder pens and trees. Its a great way to keep this a game that people don't absolutely HAVE to spend money on to play. That free bit attracts a lot of people and allows those who cannot spend money to participate, be part of the community right along with those who can, and it allows those who can occasionally spend some money to feel they are doing so for something extra, not because they could not truly play without it. That, by-the-way, is the real problem with the PF requirements, etc. When people feel they HAVE to buy things to really get anywhere in what has been touted as a free game, people feel cheated, tricked.

That is also part of the problem with all these repeated events, though in that case the problem is as much about time as money requirements. I just found myself spending over an hour here this morning. In this case, I know fully it was my choice -- I happen to like Ingrid and want to get the cloud row before the weekend, when I won't have much time. However, I still feel that when we have to spend more than roughly 1/2 hour a day, perhaps 2 blocks of 1/2 hour (but not a single hour), just to keep up, it gets onerous.

I like this game, but the time requirements is getting to where I feel I have to just quit -- and I have all the helpers, etc. (have a subscription, but also have enough coupons to last a long while)
