Rules around event drops
I am trying to explain where drops are allowed.
It seems you can get them, but not in a crowd !
This field - yes ! and those two - No !
And definitely Not, where Spooky things grow !

And if you are farming, while wearing a red hat
No drops for you, till you stop doing that !
We want you to worry from that very first crop
No sleep tee hee hee , thinking about drops.!

Now, there is a solution, but it's simply not funny
Just use your BB's or give up some money !
And it won't be easy, on days ending in "y"
If you don't believe me, then give it a try !

I knew I wouldn't be able to finish this event lost a day when it started (home life) & making mistakes like not putting out my trophies doesn't help!!! but I am at 5/6 just silvers now, think I'll make it to be able to complete 6 silver,gold & diamond. I am finding the drops are low also, before my mistake even. good idea's, thanks for sharing!

After less than 48 hours into the event, I have just under a half of the required mittens and about 6500 crops. Looking to finish in two days, all being well. Working this afternoon so planted long term crops to boost the drops. Everything crossed!

Good going, Nellie, let's hope the drops continue ... well ... dropping! For everyone!

 

Unless the drop rate picks up, I can't see finishing at this point. I have, however, completed all the silver levels and also finished level 3 to get the lovely purple ice juggling dragon that I wanted for my dragon collection. I'm now trying to finish level 6 to get the Icelangelo (but I have a long way to go). Then I'll prioritise and try to figure out what's best from there on.

I need help with drops. we have to have 2666 flowers per day but I am only getting 6 at the most from each field and even planting 18 hour crops at night is not giving me anywhere near the 212 drops per day we need.

I've just harvested two fields of ice flowers with my LL at 29% for a total of 5 mittens, so thank you, thank you, thank you!!! May the drops be with us all!!

 

Trophies at 30%, LL rune, 1 howie, my green meadow in 1x1, the peripheries with trees and a field of ice flowers just gave me 2, yes you saw that correctly, 2 mittens! How on earth are newer players supposed to make any progress in this event if that's what I'm getting?

 

Ikbs49, I think they said only 137 drops a day needed. Do you have your crop and animal trophies out? And it depends on what level each one is at that will affect your drop rate. Also, if they aren't in the Living Legend you will have to move them to each field and wait a few seconds or refresh before harvesting for the game to acknowledge they are on that field. I hope this helps out TC, that's terrible!! I'm thinking the kittens have run off with the mittens!!

 

TC I am in the same boat as you... 30% on trophy's on the LL, a Howie Donut and get fewer drops than my non-Howie fields Whoever is playing with the algorithm I wished they'd have left it alone

 

thank you to all that have been sending gifts! I will have to take a look and see what I will complete. Been doing this through puffin on phone since traveling with no computer. Missing the whole first day put me far behind. I am doing ice flowers on all 3 main fields, have 6500 so far moving trophies around 23% combined I am only getting about 5-9 mittens per harvest using cac also no pets or anything else to help along. Planting roses at night as this is the perfect timing to keep farm idle little as possible. Good luck everyone and thanks again for helping!

 

I have witnessed that using Howie Donuts can sometimes gives you less drops than harvesting your Fields without using Howie Donuts but using a Howie Donut gives up to 5% More on Drops in a Field it is placed in can it can give 1% or 3% or 5% or even - 5% or -3% Compared Harvesting Fields without using Howie Donuts.

When Placing either Howie Donuts or Crop or Animal Trophies Do Not Reap that Field at Same Time, Always goto another Field or Refresh your Farm using F5 or Refresh Button if it works. Before Harvesting Fields that has Howie Donuts or Crop or Animal Trophies, when you get a decent amount of Drops previous Harvest Try Grow a Different Crop to Maintain a Higher Drop Rate, as Harvesting a Crop Repeatedly will gives Less Drops than you did on Previous Drop even when you are using Howie Donuts !!!

It has been like this for sometime with this Game, it is one of those Things which we cannot do much about it. My Method is to try grow Alternating Seeding Crops ( Best Plant Refinement Crops as Gives you better Drops rate plus more chances of more Drops of Tools and Crafting Drops)

If some of you have not noticed that Howie Donuts are more effective used with Comfort Fields They also give you twice as likely amount of Drops compared using a 2x2 Field or Even using 1x1 But the Downside is they do take much longer Harvest (4 X Longer Growing Time) This can be significantly Reduce or be Effective on Refinement Crops plus Using Super Grow

But I need to Point out that Farmers who have Crop and Animal Trophies Less than 30% Can get Better Drops than Farmers who have both these Trophies Less than 30% it is Down to Randomness of Drop Rates, Using Refinements, Switching Fields, Refreshing your Farm...Combination of These things you have to Consider

But Increasing Animal and Crop Trophies does help make a Difference, Moving them around your Field Makes a Difference, Growing Crops that has Longer Growing Time Makes a Difference. But Not Always work like that as it suppose to make a difference every time what is Hindering this due to Randomness of Drop Rates Regardless to what Method you used as explained above.

I know it is not Fair it one of those things we have to put up with but at times Tides to Turn we get better Drops than we suppose to, other Times can be Dismal Drops. I Just keep persevering harvesting your Farm as Frequent as you can....

I have Notice that Drop Rate on Ice Flowers are not that Great that why I got 15,000 of them out of the way asap. Now Focus getting remaining Mittens

 

First day, trees left in outlying areas, CAC activated, and planted event crop in 2x2s in the Glade (free water for the junks there) 1x1s in the other fields (trees in outlying) and grew blackberry. Used super grow and water on the first 30 seeds with white innocence. Continued to grow event junks only in meadow switching to rye in the 1x1 in the other two fields. Before long had over 2500 junks. Event junks only in free water Glade. Simply long time grow crops in other two fields. Now I need about 325 drops to complete the event and will not and have not bothered neighbors for drops. (No Howie but trophies maxed out to 30% and living legend unlocked.) I see no need for refinement use just yet with these events but the day is approaching.

Just planted ALL long time crops and NO event junks using water only (poop is for selling not buying and using around here). Thank you everyone for teaching how to grow junks but I have no plans on doing that again for another 30 hours or so.

With my strategy, I doubt seriously I will grow up to 15 gazillion junks even with 10 times the drops needed to complete the event.

• White innocence giveaway timed well. White innocence given as event prize. White innocence is not being sold so freely on the open market and prices are up. Fruit cake also given away and relates to super grow. hint hint hint ..... super grow is a revenue item for BP and events are now being used to set up the revenue stream. Therefore if one has a florist and uses white innocence to level it up one should consider gathering it for use.
• Junk CAC cloud rows were event prizes. One had better learn to use CAC wisely or one will have no chance of completing events. And price for CAC is increasing slowly.
• Pinkie Pie Pie prices are increasing and more are using.
• Free animals (cuckoos) were given away to level up trophies. Many sold. (I offer them in lots of 500 for 777 ccs each.) The longer one waits to level them up the more expensive it will become.

I never ever moved a trophy before but I must agree with Mooboy that moving the trophies will increase drops.

Mooboy our approaches to the event are nearly opposite one another but we should wind up in the same place. The only problem for me is that I'm not going to grow 15 gazillion of anything in this lifetime. Speaking of that:

• There is speculation regarding BAHA breeding animals. I have orders for over 18,000 elephants and over 14,000 parrots at agreed upon prices. They are becoming difficult to fill and profit. The BAHA mill also cannot nearly keep up with 82 plot production. These are the reasons one is now seeing price increases of BAHA animal feed. (I am moving BAHA animal feed investment from 150 million to 152 million.) A moderate call for any BAHA animal is all it takes and a BAHA breeding animal will create further inflation in feed pries of that animal specifically and others will follow as only one type of feed may be produced at a time. (Some are using the parrot to produce poop to sell during this event.)
• Good prices to sell pigs with this call. Horses are slightly up on this market and I now choose to gather them in bulk rather than sell. Took profits quickly on 3,200 pigs and now have backed off for as there is plenty time remaining and this part of the event will be complete by many.

There are cheaper stars with quest completion than this event. Careful and good luck to all.

15 gazillion nope, not me

 

I seem to be on track. I have one field if ice flowers on this farm and done with them. I'm a round behind on my little farm, so need one round plus. I am averaging 10 drops per field with ice flowers. The lowest I've had is 4. The only thing holding me back is drops. I should be able to complete this event with time to spare easily.

 

I got all the junks. Need still about half of the mittens.
But with little time tomorrow all the long term crops are fitting well. Should help with the drops. And it is still enough time to decide what to go after, in case I miss some drops.
Now off to fill some boots with chocolate.

 

That is great Baw. The mud_pie_man farm is so unconcerned it is growing event crops using 10 2x2 plots. And it is quickly donating all the crops to get the system replacement seeds to donate. That farm is producing animals and has far more drops than it will need to get what it wants.

What is really surprising is that the farmer_broke farm is able to sell pigs in lots of 20 at over 2,400 ccs each tonight. This really indicates that some barns are really poorly stocked and/or have no strategy for working events with an animal call under 200. Minimal animal holdings in the right places seem essential. Prior to the faq release of the harvest event where mud_pie finished 14th, it had produced and was holding only 360 of each normal animal.

Dienstag, I feel your approach is the way to go. Great long time crops are working. Fine with me too, I wish there was a crop that took five days to grow. Agree, simply prioritize what you desire based on the drops and crops you have.

got lucky and had some time in between for the junks. Misused some water since neighbors came over for quiet a while.

Found myself with some dead time last night - not enough to grow event crops so I put the chickens out and reaped the benefits of the poop market. Drops are sloooooow and are the only thing holding me back so I've stopped growing event crops as I probably won't finish but will get all the givers and the Christmas tree 2011, which I'm happy about. Have been growing wheat inbetween ice flowers; not sure how successful that is but the lowest mittens I've had from ice flowers has been 7 so far.
