Cons: They've already been discussed so I don't need to repeat them

    Pros:
    • Graphics are lovely as always
    • New stable :inlove:
    • New tree :inlove:
Perhaps the best Pro about the event is that it is ALMOST OVER!

Agreed. Drop Rate on this event is ridiculously low.
My feedback is about the trivia questions in general.
#1 - if we guess wrong, give us the right answer so we can learn.
#2 - offer the correct answers - example . . . question "how long does it take to make bat food in feed mill?" options: 5 seconds, 50 seconds, 15 minutes, 50 minutes. Correct answer = 13.5 minutes - not one of the options.
#3 - another question "what kind of animals are Sally and some other character?" I knew the second character, but not Sally. who is Sally? After guessing wrong I asked AI and AI told me there's no Sally. So I did AI deep research and it tells me Sally is a girl (not an animal) from a November 2024 event. I'm supposed to remember a character from an event a year ago? Is this the Sally you're talking about? Who is Sally and what kind of animal is she? Is this another question with no correct answer?
#4 - how the heck am I supposed to remember the name you gave each level of the game? Crazy.

My favourite trivia question was, what does the barnyard bill tree produce? :)

I am glad to be done with the board games, they start to feel like more of the same after a while.
This event was great for my farmer's society tree quests though. I'm nearly done with them all, except those that require wonder trees that I haven't got yet.

So dissapointed to have spent so much time and energy on both my farms and the baby farm didn't manage to get enough Gear Coins to get both the orange upgrade for the cardinal nest and the XXL Korean fir upgrade! >:(

We should have had the option to mill more orange punches and candy apples or a way to mill some of the cookies. At least I was able to clear all things and get the cloud rows and givers for both farms!

I was also disappointed with the shop - the prices were so high. If we completed the event and collected the candy apples and orange punches from quite early on, surely we should have been able to buy more. :(

Tasks seemed so imbalanced ... I have posted about this elsewhere.

I missed out on the last giver item to complete the CR. Normally a CR is the last item to be given, so by the end of the task you have all the items needed to place on said CR.

I hope the permanent items (cardinal and Korean fir) will be used in a future task or event and that we may have the opportunity to get the missing items once again.

I did not enjoy this event - some of us have jobs & other things to deal with in life - to make us wait 20 hours to get a key is ridiculous. And the thing that really annoys me is that they took away pretty much all the cardinals & trees WE collected - must be really expensive trees & cardinals that they couldn't let us keep them !! Your events are getting worse not better.

Only my oldest farm managed to get the CR and givers. It also just managed to get a couple permanent cardinals and korean trees. No upgrades and no where near getting the Piccolo box. And this was with the special offer that bought 5 keys. This farm and the two other baby farms just couldn't do it. Just a poorly balanced event.

Despite initially saying I would skip the event due to so much going on with RL and family visits, I did find time as some RL schedules changed.

I would never have gotten as far as I did without all the help from others. Tbh, my nature is such, that once I start something, I want to finish. This is my own issue and not the game's fault. There is so much I could have done in RL if I'd really skipped the event. Likely I'm not alone. In this way, the event was a good one, and I shall focus on what I 'need' to do to find balance and a way forward.

For me, there were too many options; I do best with having one thing (maybe two) on which to concentrate. That there were different games with different rewards, different crops and critters also having different things made it more challenging than I could easily grasp, and by the time I realized what the different layers were, the event was almost over.

I don't understand why the game team put together this type of event, especially at a time when most players are extra busy with RL. For me, despite initially saying I would skip the event, I made my own choice to decide between a game accomplishment and doing RL...My bad. In retrospect, this is an opportunity for me to seriously take responsibility for my own choices.

I really enjoy the game and the Forum. I appreciate more now that there are many options for players to play at their own pace. This event has shown me, I must take a close look at other options and focus on those aspects so the game becomes a rewarding pass-time and not something which demands my active engagement.

Unfortunately, I think the answer here is, as it so often is, money. They know full well how chaotic the festive season can be for a large percentage of their players (I don't want to presume that we are all of the Christmas/Hanukkah persuasion!). They know that we'll be time-poor, and that we'll want to spend time with our loved ones. They know exactly what you expressed - that we'll be torn between wanting to participate fully in the event and wanting to be present in our actual lives.

Christmas is actually the perfect season for an event like this if you're money-hungry and couldn't care less for your customers - it's because we're so busy that they're able to make money. Because we want to finish the event, but we can't give the necessary time to it, so we're more willing to pay our way through to get to the end with as little sacrifice of our RL as possible. If they actually liked us, and got their heads out of their wallets for half a second, the decent thing to do would be to make a fun, inclusive event that everyone can succeed in. Unfortunately, these are people who care more about the contents of their pockets than they do about decency.

If anyone from BP actually bothers to read this, which I highly doubt they will (I've never seen any meaningful change arise from feedback so either it goes completely over their heads or they just make these threads so we direct our complaints here and they don't have to deal with anything coming directly to their inbox), perhaps they'll be protesting "But we have to make money!" Which they do. But if your bottom line is dependent on the revenue from the Christmas event, then your business model doesn't work and this venture isn't going to last. If it's not, then you don't need to make the event such a cash grab. I may have been a teenager when I started playing this game, but I'm not now. I'm a psychologist, and what I can tell you about human behaviour is that you'd probably make more money if you treated your customers with the respect they deserve. Maybe then they'd be more willing to give their money to you regularly throughout the year. What's the saying? Take care of the pennies and the pounds will take care of themselves.

It would have been great to spend left over gear coins on less expensive items in the rewards shop.

I had 88 gear coins left over and couldn't use them for anything. Usually in other events, there has at least been a chance to purchase less expensive rewards such as wheel/party tickets, buffs, PF, SG, etc.

As others have said, this event was so unbalanced....and not fun.

Did anyone else notice the drop rate increased towards the end of the event? My three fields remained the same through most of the event with all trees, so the drop rate increase was not from changing this strategy.

:(Yeah. The barnyard bill tree question ... according to AI it doesn't exist in the game ... only in trivia. I thought the trivia questions were supposed to be about gameplay. If it truly exists please tell me how I can obtain one. :p

    -SassyFrass- The BB tree excists.

If you are lucky you can have one from a "Piccolo" wonderbox.
You can win them in several events
