I finally opened up one of the key boxes and wrapped something that allowed me to go back down the levels where I was able to open the first apple box. I might get somewhere after all. Drops are still a problem.

I'm baking this morning (apple pie for tonight's dessert). Our festivities this year are different from years past, but still the same people...aging and illness has changed things up, but we're all still here and we're celebrating that and every other positive thing we can think to celebrate. I hope the same goes for everyone here.

Okay, things to know about this event. If you have BBs on hand, consider yourself lucky. I've spent more than I'd like on the festive cookies and the ornaments to move up that mountain. At 2 cookies a pop to shorten timers, this farm has run out of cookies and had to spend BBs on them to keep the timers all at the same pace.

Do the buffs from playing the board game with Sweet Orange Punches start immediately?
I got a +1 extra for Winter Korean Firs but can not find it.

 

I managed to hold on to my BBs but I am seriously short of SG and SSG!

I have actually finished all the crops, unbelievable. That's over 100k in crops in a week! I know I used a lot of buffs (and SG and SSG) but I never would have believed I could do that.

The Winter Cardinals and Winter Firs are coming along and I have no hurry to finish them any quicker (except I am using PF, SSG and Mulch to speed them up a bit so maybe I am looking to finish them asap!). There are still two weeks though.

I am now working on getting the first lot of keys to climb to the Mountain Top. I need another 6 and, as long as I don't forget like I did yesterday evening, tomorrow morning should see me starting the long trek upwards! Then I figure, again barring my memory letting me down, five more days should see me finishing this event! Very hard and very frustrating not to say complicated but a challenge nonetheless.

I have played many of the games but think I will stop going for the puzzles and do the others which are more enjoyable. I really don't think I need any more Firs or Cardinals to finish.
Hope you are all seeing the top of the mountain and will finish or reach your goals.

Scratch that I have done all the crops, I found unwrapped pressie lurking to the left - a hefty 6,465 Candy Canes - oh well, think I can manage them over the weekend.
I suppose I better check there aren't any more there - thought things were going along a little quickly!

I don't need any more Ball Ornaments either. The Festive Cookies will still be useful for cutting the times on those Keys and Candy Apples for the games - but I am not in desperate need so give to those struggling with drops.

Missing only 900 Cardinals, then ready... if not mentioned permanent stables and trees

 

I have 15/20 keys so tomorrow morning's harvest will finish those and I can work towards the boxes with the gear coins. I hope there is still enough time to get enough coins to get both base stables and trees along with their upgrades.

I have completed 77/90 of the missions and just need to finish the cardinals. There is enough time remaining that I am not worried about finishing it.

I have enjoyed this event more than I thought I would, but there have been some elements that need a little tweaking to reduce the frustration and irritation of being stuck. A lesson in patience

 

SL's farm has achieved the top of the top of the mountain! (did I type that right?)

This farm needs ONE, seriously, ONE more key to get past that box at the top. Still growing crops. Quit using green goo and propellers a couple days ago because of short supply. So in 10 hours going for the top of the mountain.

I also quit playing the mini-games on the board games - now attempting to get all the rest of the goodies.
