Wotcha doin?

What's everyone focusing on just now? Its seemed really busy to me lately, with small changes and introductions feeling thick and fast for the last coupla weeks. Just wondered where everyone was putting their attention. I'm replacing a loads of chickens and rabbits for anaconda feed, growing kiwis now I finally have some stables, continuing with wolves, and also have roosters, doves, storks, cats, mice and moles out. And my lonely but very endearing platypus. Plus more XXL trees out than usual, filling up the edge-spaces around all those stalls. I prefer to do either crops or animals, rather than a mixture of the two. Background focus is on gaining Baha GBs, in anticipation of the coral reef.

 

Lol Betty, loved your last post in Feedback ... I too am tired of the push to 'spend real money'... I am sure the parrot is going to start leaking secrets to my hubby before long ... like repeating my credit card number .... with regards to the 'Farm'... I am concentrating on building up my cc's..... Having invested in some high level breeding animals to get that Soup n' Friends quest done I now need to restore my Farm Bank Balance to its former glory. I too prefer to do either crops or animals as the buffs can be geared up to use accordingly for maximum benefit.

 

Yes the buffs and the time sync usually has me doing either crops or critters, but... I'm sorta mixed right now. Mainly... RL has been super frantic... trying to login twice a day to read OAs, turn over the Baha crops, send gifts, planting 18h+ crops w/o water... but that's about all. Your post came up first in "New Posts" so I thought I'd respond.

 

Now what is left for me to do is Finish the remaining FSQs, unlock the rest of the statues in the temple, and level up my Artisan trades, but I reach the point where progress is very slow and it need a lot of time, so I turned my attention on refinements which also needs a lot of time, so I am forced to do it all together a bit here and a bit there, since concentrating on one thing is no option now, the crops and animals requirements are too high and need a very long time, if I do one then I am left with a big gap to fill until there is a progress, my CC amount is reasonable, and I am tempted to prepare for big stocks for the next harvest hue down, I am obsessed with the idea of being one of the top 1000.

 

On this baby farm (only lvl 54) I'm atm mostly concentrating on adding to the cc reserve and leveling up the confectionary, and also stockpiling GBs. Don't really care about shipwreck bay, but I'm hoping we'll finally get the elephant update that has been rumoured every now and then for a LONG time now.

 

i need help on getting tools so I can start my productions. Is there any way to get the tools i need without toolboxes. like what to grow?

 

Ask your neighbours for toolbox items as your daily gift, open tool-giving runes on the tree of wisdom, plus planting longer crops tends to give better drops. That's it really. xx

Just Finish Making 1000 Red Punches, Still Managed to Maintain 20,000 Plus Herbals in my Barn. I dont have any of the New Rare Animals Pens but I have out all of the Older Rare Animals Pens such as Dove,Cats and Mice, Bats. Looking at the Markets to Stock up on Animals and Products. Look for any Bargain Buys too. Have very Healthy Bank on this Farm !!!

I am Mostly a Crop Farmer as I have FOCD to Build up Crops up to 100,000. As I Always work on Refinements as it help to build up my stock of Crops will the Help of Buffs too. Also Build up Stock of Tools to Make Orange Camel Pens too.

With Artisan Trades just Spa Manager left to Level 5. As My Baker, Confectionary and Florist is Already Level 5. Alchemist is not worth Doing for the Time Being as i got over 40,000 Mandrakes in my Barn. Can Never Get Enough Sugar on my Farm lol

I am trying to finish various quests so have mainly animal/production pens out with trees round the edges. Every now and then I check to see what I need more of and swap stuff around. There is so much to do and I am not very organised. I will only do events in future if there is something I really think is worth it i.e. Reindeer Pen. I have given up trying to get every tree and animal now. There are so many and I have plenty to do without them. We really need more space to grow stuff or someway of condensing pens down to a 1x1.

 

Oh Yes !!!! ....1x1 pens .... wonderful idea !!! Given the amount of 'junk' sitting in my inventory, and I am sure in many others they would be great. Too many new things introduced too quickly and just not enough space for everything... We need more space or thinks shrunk ... Perhaps an Alice in Wonderland Rune on the tree ...LOL

I have been trying to level up in Baha as quickly as possible, filling quests, selling products to buy what I need for quests along with growing items... the usual, I think. My "strategy" has not really changed per se as I move up, just that I work on higher level items: growing longer crops and animals/products as they become available, buying more rare stuff, etc.

 

I was in such a hurry to get outside and start the yardwork before it got too hot, it was 80 yesterday, that I forgot I still had some Mega EP that I was planning on using. Oh well... Came inside to eat lunch and rest, and farm, lol, before doing a bit more yardwork.

Try google translate.. or one of the other many translation programs. They don't work well for subtleties or generalities, but are OK for short specifics. Also, if you let them know you are using a translation program, most people will understand about errors.

 

the 1x1 pens just give exp, I would like them to be comfort fields instead, 1x1's and 2x1's.

 

Some times talking is not necessary, some player developed the habit of sending the same gift you send to them, try that, and why not post on new neighbor thread, you will be surprised with how many players would answer to you, and if you are at good level I agree with suzeerabit and the other players who suggested to start doing refinement, and before all that take it slowly, one step at a time and enjoy

 

A great way to get tools is to buy the owl pet for each field. Each one will give you 10 tools every time it is ready for harvest.

Edit: The Hen house will give you tools!! The owl will give you more EP.

It's not the owl that gives tools, it's the pet hen (chicken). The pet owl gives 10% EP bonus for 10 minutes with a 30 minute recharge.

 

It might be helpful to look in the forum in FAQ'S on how to be a florist, confectioner and baker to see what you need to make the basic recipies for level one and level 2 products.
Bakers and Florists need lots of production pens. For level 2 products they need cows milk [for baker] or paint pallets [for florist] for each item made. Confectioners need no production pens.
If you need to make the production pen itself I recommend doing the refinement for the strawberry hammer drop in the greenhouse. I did the largest crop available and took no offered refinement [except hammer drop] until stage 3. It takes awhile!!!! But will pay off big in my opinion.
Meanwhile, see what you need, in the faq's to make the basic item in your choice of artisan product. Confectioners need lots of apple trees, bakers need wheat, florists can use lots of sunflowers.
The refinements for bricks and roof tiles aren't good, so it isn't worth doing refinements in the greenhouse for them. One can do the first few levels of the trophy quests like country fair. Only contribute what you can afford [tree fruit: plums, walnuts] is good and the trees are a good long term investment bought in small amounts as you can afford] As you get into higher levels of trophy it will help with drops. Try to plant the longest growing crops you can overnight. To help with costs I just buy a couple seeds then grow them during the next few days so I don't spend a mint on new crops

It does take a long time but the good news is that you are now getting drops of the basic ingredients [salt, sugar, wire] and once you pick a speciality you will continue to get drops... so even though it doesn't seem like your making much progress... you really are even though it takes days and days to get enough tiles and bricks for the artisan buildings.
