Why are chickens so expensive? They are not even needed for the event.
I suggest not buying any chickens at that price.

 

about 2 weeks now, and ts moving fast too under 300. list at 330-360 and you might have to wait a day or two.

 

Not sure about the chickens but I've had a field going and I'm selling them at 300-290CC the last 2 days. No idea why the prices went up so high but I'm taking advantage of it. I've selling the manure as well at it's high point it was 270CC in my market but it's come down to around 180CC right now.

Thanks to those chickens I finally broke the million dollar barrier.

Now if I can just get another 150 magnifiers I will be doing the major happy dance.

I am working on leveling up Baha... want to open up that last chamber soon. The event held me up some.

In many cases, you are better off either buying the item or at least buying the crops needed. In my opinion, the main reason to grow these items is more to level up the factory so you have the ability to make them when the prices do rise than for use.

Same for feed. In some cases, just the ingredients for the feed is more than the animal (spiders is a good example). Then again, it can be more fun to grow the items and work it out yourself.

 

Pumpkin jam though is one of the few which usually is worth making yourself

 

Well I've made loads of the Pumpkin Jam since I got the recipe for it. I've sold some, gifted some and used quite a bit of it. Pumpkin is not a hard crop to grow, mostly it's the sugar for me that keeps me from making tons of it. I tend to use it for regular farming at times, needing 7000 corn to finish off the Baked from Scratch FSQ comes to mind.

 

ive yet to really start using artisan items except for past couple events. i went with bakery and try to bake 2 puff cakes a day since i got lv3, might lose 500cc selling them but thats ok. i was filling farm orders and got a few to lv5, then it clicked in my head that its a lot cheaper to eat the puff cakes for ep. salt has always been a problem and will soon run out again.
i am sitting on 200 stars and wondering where to go. i did LL and breeding branch, maybe finish last 2 lvs for manure? open spa? get some of the other breed animals? havnt looked at neighbour branch.

i only grow crops main field to help with fsq, all the other fields are pens. if bp would offer mill sub. i would have pens in main field also. i buy all feed for baha pens but main farm feed is a lot more expensive. can barley keep up with chicken and rabbit feed.

 

I am aiming for this level, right now I am staying low on funds. buying stalls almost done with the bulk of buying them the base animals, working on the noah's ark then when the prices are right I buy tree fruit/a certain animal too, to feed the trophy's , then working the Baha need to get to the release of the 4th land plot.

I am really looking forward to getting level on the base needs of the farm, someday I will finish the bulk and be able to buy the crops and animals. I keep looking at the workshop, need higher level animals, but first need the stars for the living legion
I will get to the top of the water level soon till then paddling the crazy!

I agree, I am going to make more as soon as the quest is as done as I can go, fish why fish? I need more fish lol.

No, it is hard when you need the land but full of stalls, then the quest is coming up, need to get to the fish.......

Here I am lucky, when I started I stayed on the farm, and just made feed, I have a lot of chicken and bunny food, I can go in it, finish what ever then just make 7 hours of it after the event/selling.

 

I grow trees in the spaces around my pens. I wound up dedicating my green meadow mostly to rare pens (actually one of each, including an orange pen of each upgradable one). I have one of each that costs more than the feed and there are more than can fit in my meadow. I use my main farm and magic glade for workshops and whatever I want to fill quests, etc. There is no real strategy reason for that, though, its just what I have ended up doing.

One good thing, since Baha and regular farming goals are largely distinct, you can do both at once.

 

Yeah, I read I think from Mir85 that it's best to keep tree of wisdom open for tear down as it give a few more points during breeding, I have started to leave more trees up, toss up between rare trees and trees for food for rare animals<only got one stall per food so easy to feed a animal from a tree or two.>

Yeah, baha I am still working on this, sooo need more land, between trees/animals/crops I am not fairing well....
Need that 4th plot, but need panda food 1st I had enough to make a chopstick so I did, put it sits next to the staved panda as I need to open bamboo talk about a mean circle.

The magical glade gives more EP for trees and stables I therefore keep most of my stables trees (the ones I have out) in the magical glade, and use the other two fields for crops (and sometimes animals when I need to stock up). The magical glade doesn't affect breeding (except a bit more EP).
