{FAQ} Mentoring System: Chickadee Roost

* Where is the Chickadee Roost?

The Chickadee Roost is located in the Farmhouse, in the second tab next to the Farmhouse orders.​

* What is this Mentoring system?

The Mentoring system was launched in the game to offer the possibility to the more experienced users to help the "chickadees", new users who just joined the game. This system offers players a more interactive way of helping each other and rewards for both the mentor and the chickadee. This system is based on the game language, therefore the mentor/chickadees pairings will be done based on the game interface language (for example, users who login to the game using English will be paired to other users who have chosen English as their game language, regardless of what their actual location is).​

The mentors can help their chickadees with gifts and advices, and the chickadees can send love points or other gifts in return (they are free). By working together in this system, both chickadees and mentors will have rewards. Their joint efforts are represented in the Social levels.​

* What are the Social points?

Social points are the mentor's reward for taking care of its chickadees, and can be redeemed from full love bars and from chickadee's level ups.​

* What are Love points?

In this new system, love points are the "fuel" that builds up the relationship between the mentor and its chickadees. A mentor can receive love points via several ways: sending messages and gifts to its chickadees, and receiving gifted love points from its chickadees.

* What is the Social level?

A mentor's total accumulated social points form its social level. There are 5 levels in the social ranking, depending on how many social points are accumulated. They can be used to purchase items in the Mentor store.​

* What is the Mentor Store?

The Mentor Store has 5 sections (one for each social level), and they can be unlocked by leveling up in the Social ranking. Here the mentor can purchase different items using Social points.​

By private information, we mean: real name, age, address, e-mail address, messenger address, telephone number or which school you go to. Beginner players - Chickadees​

* I am new to the game. How do I become a chickadee?

All new users who create accounts will be automatically added to the chickadee list in search for a mentor (players that are level 40 and above). The following layer will be presented to the new player after finishing the game tutorial.​

If you already finished the tutorial but you are still interested in joining the mentoring system, you can take a look at the chickadee roost. Please note that a mentor might not be found immediately, so while the system is searching for someone to shelter you, your chickadee roost will look like this:

If you wish to leave the mentoring system and play all on yourself, you can press the Leave button. Once a suitable mentor has been found, the newly comer will be added in the Mentor's roost, and your adventure together with your mentor begins. The partners will also be added on each others Friend list available at the Post office and neighbor list (separate from normal neighbours). When reaching level 40, the chickadee will leave the mentor so the special neighbour spot will be lost. If they want to remain neighbours, a normal neighbour invite should be sent by one of the parties.

You will also be able to see the other chickadees that are sheltered in your mentor's roost and interact with them. To interact with any of the other chickadees click on their avatar. You will be able to send them a gift or send them an ingame message.
You can change your chickadee avatar by pressing Change avatar.​

Don't forget to interact with your mentor as well, by clicking on its avatar. You can send a gift or simply a message. If you no longer wish to be sheltered in the mentor's roost, press the Leave mentor button. A notification layer will be presented to you and once confirmed, you will no longer be part of the mentor's shelter. You can also leave the mentoring system completely, by pressing the Leave button. Users who reach level 40 will automatically lose the chickadee status and can enroll for the mentoring position.​

* How do I interact with my mentor?

As a chickadee, you can send messages and gifts to your mentor.
Chickadees can send one of the following gifts to their mentors every day:​

• 2 Salt
• 2 Sugar
• 2 Florist wire
• Lil' Box o' Love (5 love points)

The gift is connected to the Mentor spot, so if you send your gift and then change the mentor in the same day, the gift will be blocked until the next gift refresh. The message that awards love points follows the same rule, so if you sent a message to your mentor and then changed your mentor, your messages will not count for love points until the daily reset.​

The chickadee can also send one daily gift from the Postal Office to the mentor.​

 

Advanced Players - Mentors
​

* How do advanced players become mentors?

Any user that has reached level 40 or above can apply to become a mentor, from the layer in the Chickadee roost. It might take some time until the system registers you as a mentor (each week there are 1000 new spots released into the game). Once the player is accepted into the system, there is an automated message sent to the user's game inbox (it is in German at this moment).

Being accepted into the system will also bring you your first chickadee. Each mentor will have a limited amount of chickadee slots, three slots to start with. Clicking an empty chickadee slot will start the search for a possible chickadee, and all the empty slots will become inactive until a suitable chickadee has been found.​

Once a chickadee has been found, the remaining empty spots in your roost become available for a new search. You will be informed by a game pop-up of your chickadee arrival, and you can check your Action log as well for the chickadee arrival entry.​

You can add more chickadees to your roost. Clicking an empty chickadee slot will start a new search for a possible chickadee, and all the empty slots will become inactive until a suitable chickadee has been found.​

Clicking on the mentor avatar will allow you to customize it.​

​

You can interact with your chickadees (click on them).​

​

1. Chickadee's activity thermometer. Just like a neighbour's thermometer, this will turn red if your chickadee is no longer active in his farm.
2. Chickadee's EP bar.
3. Love points meter. The love points are counted here and the love meter can be redeemed for social points when full.
4. Send your chickadee a special gift. You can choose a gift based on your chickadee's farm level. The gift is connected to the chickadee spot, so if you send your gift and then change the chickadee in the same day, the gift will be blocked until the next gift refresh.
5. Send a message to your chickadee. It will arrive in his inbox, announced by the envelope. If you sent a message to your chickadee and then changed him/her, your messages for the new chickadee will not count for love points until the daily reset.
6. Leave your chickadee. This action will remove the chickadee from your nest.

Please note that leaving the Mentoring system once you have been accepted is not possible. If you no longer desire to be a mentor, you can become inactive by leaving the chickadee spots empty (once all your chickadees left, do not click the eggs anymore).​

A mentor can send the following gifts to its chickadees every day, according to the chickadee's level:

The gifts in the table above can all be sent up to the chickadee's level (e.g. a level 26 chickadee can receive one of all the gifts listed until level 31).​

The mentor can also send one daily gift from the Postal Office to the chickadee.
​

* What is the love bar?

A mentor has a love bar for each chickadee he shelters in its nest, where love points add up and eventually are transformed into social points by the mentor.​

​

Once the love bar is completely filled, it can be redeemed for 5 Social points (click on the Bonus button to redeem your points). A maximum of 30 full love bars can be redeemed by the mentor for each chickadee.​

* What are the Social points?

Social points are the mentor's reward for taking care of its chickadees, and can be redeemed from love bars or chickadee's level ups. For each completely filled love bar (0-50), the mentor can redeem 5 Social points (up to a maximum of 30 times). Social points can be earned from the chickadee's level up as well. Every time the chickadee advances to a new level, the mentor will receive social points, depending on the chickadee's level (to collect the social points, press the blue Bonus button on your chickadee's EP bar). If you forget to redeem your full love meter and your chickadee levels up, don't worry: the social points are awarded automatically for the filled love meter and the counter will start again correctly. When the chickadee reaches level 40, the respective social points will be booked automatically and the mentor will receive an informative in game message.​

These social points can be spent by the mentor in the Mentor Store for various goods (see below).​

* How do I get more chickadee spots?

A maximum of 5 chickadees can be sheltered in a mentor's farmhouse (this may change in the future).

* What is the Social level?

A mentor's total accumulated social points form its social level. There are 5 levels in the social ranking, depending on how many social points are accumulated.​

​

Once the mentor has accumulated some social points, he can spend them in the Mentor Store to purchase different items. Spending social points in the Mentor Store will not cause the mentor to loose any ranking in the Social levels.​

* What is the Mentor Store?

The Mentor Store has 5 sections (one for each social level), and they can be unlocked by leveling up in the Social ranking. Each section has 4 items (they may change at a later date). These are split into two different categories. The first category consists of items that can be purchased only once (Permanent items), the second category consists of those which return / repeat (daily and weekly). The daily item is available every day, while the weekly items will be available once/week.

• All prices are in Social points
• The permanent item can only be purchased once. It will become unavailable after the purchase.
• The Harvest Helper prize consists of 168h of the Harvest function in your machinery (not all 4 functions)
• Users who already have Premium active when purchasing the 1 Month premium prize will have their premium status prolonged. The users who have no premium status at the time of purchase will benefit of 1 Month Silver premium.

• The crafting products are awarded as finished products, not as recipes. You will find them in your Pantry.
• You'll find the Rented Superfriend in your neighbour list. Find more details about them in this FAQ: Rent-a-Superfriend
• The random breeding animal can also be a colored bat or crow, even for the users who do not have these 2 special breeding functions unlocked yet. An informative layer will be presented informing you of your purchased animal, and you can also find it in the log entry in your farm's Action Log (click on the green arrow at the bottom of your screen).
• The non-permanent prizes (daily and weekly) have a 1 day /1 week cooldown that is triggered at purchase (same as the Pirate's chest or the Farmhouse orders).
