Yes it did Clashstrummer! I did not move up a social level, but my points jumped tremendously! I don't pay much attention to the number, so can't say for sure, but thinking at least 80-100 points were added...I was beginning to think we only got points for the gifts, not messages, even though others have posted we get points for both...Thank you for the heads up and staying on top of this :)

Wondering if the mentors have been telling their chickadee's about Jack Back's CR. MM is very haphazard in the beginning, you don't know which/what to grow at first. The number of spooky crops has increased since many of you started Farmerama so MM is even more confusing to new players.

While my mentor was & is still very helpful for which I am very thankful, I could have opened Jack's Back CR months sooner with some specific guidance regarding MM.

Huge THANK YOU to all you mentors for all your efforts!

One chick I had since December and another that I have had for a month or so have gradually dropping thermometers until blinking red and finally disappeared. My current chick came about 2 weeks ago and is not active. Still level 3, no response to IGMs, and thermometer dropping. I haven't replaced the two that are gone because with real life needing attention, I did not feel I could give it the proper attention if I suddenly found an active chick.

It's like anything else. We can mention it, but the number of chicks who pay attention is minimal. We keep trying, but its best not to be discouraged.

Wow, this thread is now pretty dead!
Since I am the last poster, I guess I need to add this, though I am not sure anyone will see it.

Anyway, I sent all my chicks a message a couple of days ago (when the G & T was announced), telling them to let me know what they wanted, etc. None have responded... [sigh] par for the course, I guess. Mostly, I am no longer sending messages. I wish there were a way to basically send automated messages for some common themes ... "hi, here is how you access the forum....", "sell manure during events".... "put out chicken farms to level up quickly"... etc, etc, etc. That would save typing time. Also, I am thinking it might be easier for some non-English speakers to have such. anyway... I may make the suggestion later, but have to wait to post another thread.

It has been so long since a post, hoping this will be seen :) Does anyone know how many units of water, manure, supergrow, pheromones, etc, the chicks receive when we send them?

I am a noob. I signed up for a mentor and got one. When I tried to leave the mentor the systen told me I had to stay for 12 hours. Did you know the chickadee is stuck with you for 12 hours? WOW

Hi noobbie - I'm not sure why you want to leave the mentor as they can really help you grow your farm as well as help guide you with any questions you might have about the game. Welcome to Farmerama! Happy Farming!:)

    @fluffykiss
This is a two way street. I hold the luv points as every other chickadee does. I know the game. The 12 hour period is not stated anywhere in this thread. FYI, at level 4, this farm presently has more trees and stables from 15 minutes playing the poop market than I can put out yet or the mentor can send me between now and level 40.

    The timer seems accurate.

Hi PnP, this is broke. I wanted to leave the mentor to see what happens. I still plan to delete the mentor. The system says it will take a while to assign a new mentor. The farm still must wait the 12 hours. I'll see how long and report it here. ----

The first mentor was assigned in maybe 5 minutes by the way. We'll see about the second one.

    ------------
I began another farm also. The mentor welcomed me and was very nice. A nice line of communication was established. She said I had sent her the first luv points she had received and asked if I knew the game. (I suppose the luv points sent before any message from her may have given me away but that was okay.) She offerred to help in an igm before it dawned on her. How nice she was.

I told her I would play the farm until level 40 and thanked her for her kindness.

After I noticed I have a farm on the same market and I am playing that farm actively (Mentor Brookeham is the mentor). I did write her back and told her I do not think it would be a good idea to play the farm as I have another farm on that market.

PnP, she tried, she asked questions, we communicated .... you know, I think I will do the FSQ on that farm and get out of the nest quick while sending her the luv points. I know exactly which ones to do.

The experience does make me feel that chickadees DO NOT know to send luv points to their mentor. Maybe the luv points are just too much for the tutorial to include.

    Hi broke:)

I did know about the 12 hour restriction on the nest because I had a chick that was assigned to me who was already blinking red. Nothing a mentor can do for that player. Not enough time to even build up the social EP bar even once before they are automatically removed from the nest so I did attempt to remove them from the nest but was also given the 12 hour notice from the system.

This is absolutely true. Or, rather, the information is there, but why and the importance of them is not clear.

Among other issues, the name itself is a tad "yicky". Also, its easy for a newbie to confuse them with perfume. I think something more neutral, something like "thank you points" or such might be better, but the biggest issue is that chicks mostly just don't respond.
