Announcement Important Technical Test for 24 hours

Dear farmers,

Because of the Migration to the Unity/WebGL Client, which is going to happen in December 2020, we need to perform a very important 24 hours long test to gather more technical data e.g. regarding the loading times and load on the servers. During this test we need to disable the Flash client.

We are relying on your understanding and support! While we can understand that some of you might feel overwhelmed or even annoyed by it, we have no other option than conducting such a test on the live servers and we have one huge request to you:​

Please play Farmerama from Tuesday, 24th of November at 14:00 CET onwards in the Unity Web/GL client – you don’t have to do anything, the version is being loaded automatically.

We do kindly ask each and every one of you, to play the game as normal, as you do every day, even if you faced some issues during the Open Beta phase – please give another try. Also, even if you do discover issues loading the Unity/WebGL Client during the test, please just retry it again, check out the FAQ’s – there are a lot of useful recommendations how you can get it work – and try it again. Keep in mind that the initial loading time is longer than you are used to. So be patient and if possible, don´t interrupt the loading process. Thanks a lot in advance!​

We’re aware, that there might be some performance issues occurring during this time and we deeply apologize in advance for the inconveniences caused and we will switch to the Flash Client with the end of the test on Wednesday, 25th of November at 14:00 CET.​

You don't need to be afraid or worry too much about it, maybe reading the FAQ of the Open Beta will answer some of your open questions in the meanwhile. Also, we know that there are some nice topics to follow up on in the forums. We all know that it has been long way and process, but we are now close to reach the finish line and with your help with playing the Unity/WebGL Client we are getting even closer. On a general note: please keep in mind that Flash support is ending by end of 2020.​

We are optimistic that all players can play Farmerama once flash support has ended. A alternative solution to the Unity/WebGL is also in the final phase of being prepared and will be tested by our moderators in the next couple of days and as soon as we are satisfied with the quality, we will present it to you. Stay tuned!​

Last but not least: we are fully aware that some of you might be disappointed or even upset as of “the bad timing”. The Harvest Event (and Pipe Event ) will start on Wednesday and for some of you the Harvest Event is THE event of the year. We can understand some of you might feel neglected. This is the reason we decided to postpone both event starts from 2 pm to 6 pm which at least grants 4 hours of extra preparation time. We won´t be able to compensate fully but we will hand out a bonus code on Wednesday for a smoother event start.​

As a little motivation we will prepare an additional small bonus code for the testing period. We will announce it on Tuesday with the start of the test!
