Like the last event of this type, it is becoming obvious that coming up with the necessary number of drop items to obtain the cloud row will be impossible without spending money, which I'm sure is the point. Also, having a special giving event at the same time as an event where we will obviously need our neighbors to gift us as many drop items as possible is unfortunate timing, but that seems to be BPs specialty.

I agree ... I saw the FAQs and just knew it was going to be the exactly the same. No hope of finishing but such tempting prizes. It still won't make me pay to finish it, I will just do what I can and accept that we can't always complete events, disappointing as that may be. :(

Unless the plan is to make farmers leave in droves, somebody really needs to work out the correct level between making an event "challenging" and making an event "impossible".-.-

been doing this now since the start...i have amassed...wait for it....the grand total of.......220 messages in bottle-.-
considering i am now half way through (5000) the amount of tropical corks needed to get to the cloud row prize (10000) i estimate that when i get there i should have 440ish messages in bottles......i need 990!!!!!! i cant grow the other crop because that is only unlocked after i donate a further 100 messages on the following level!!
so it seems im going to have to grow other crops or continue growing corks in which case i calculate having to grow a further 10000 corks to get the required drops to unlock the second crop.
call me pessimistic but i think the drops are...how to put it...totally messed up, no where near the required rate for anyone to get near to finishing this event. i'd be amazed if anyone completes both stages of this event and gets both piccolo boxes without buying drops/crates of required goods etc or pumping wads of personal cash into the event.
to be quite frank... the rewards from the cloud row should put anyone off of doing that:eek:

well i finished the first crop yet even from the event crop and few trees plus magic trees have still only amassed the grand total of 517 drops!!! with 22 hours to go!!
dont know how much money people have inputed into this event that they're not revealing to be able to finish and get all the drops needed:(
never going to get 473 drops in 22 hours...absolute shambles of an event...hard....try impossible unless you send us some of your money>:(

i finished with the grand total of 558 drops...no way near enough to even unlock the second crop, not leaving out the small issue of the cloud row.
if there is any integrity left in BP they will admit they messed up the drops big time with this event and unlock the cloud row for all players who took part.
cant see it happening to be honest....suprise me BP!

I didn't like this format the first time I around but unlike then I now have no expectation of finishing. This translates to not being fully invested in the event which means I don't use up valuable resources and therefore do not feel compelled to complete. In short, I'm not spending money this time to buy those stupid drops nor am I using up all my SG. I find it particularly egregious that you choose to run this type of event on Baha as we do not have the option of using refined crops. If there hadn't been season points up for grabs I wouldn't have participated at all.

Once again, what could have been a fun event has been ruined by greed. Yes, I will finish the FIRST part with ease, within the time allotted. Why is there even a second part when it is virtually impossible to get done? The drop rate is abysmal. You do not seem to understand that you cannot force players to spend money - but you can force them to stop doing events, or right out of the game itself! How many times have we, your players, told you that if we are happy, we will spend more money! Please, give us back events that are fun to do, with prizes that make it worth working for, and we will spend money because we want to, and tell everyone we know what a great game this is.

I also agree with everything, matselleste has written! I chose to do the "Tropical Corks" crops. Amount needed is 9,750 and with the help of a plus one and green water (which I buy) I got my crops grown in a little over 1 day! Now I have to sit around and try to get the
drops (1190 total) so I can get the things needed to mill the next seeds to start the next portion! I am planting crops on Baha I don't really need just to see if I can get better drops! I planted a 19 hour lablab bean crop and have 3 Howies on the land and got
    75 secret message drops!!
Do you not see a problem with the drop rate!?? So here I sit still trying to get drops to move on, this is not a good way to run a business or keep people interested in your game! Again whoever is making the decisions at your company
needs to have a reality check!

    Note to BP...

All the above reasons are why I have stopped doing 90-95% of events! Now I stick to Breeding events if they are reasonable in their demands, and rare parts (no baskets or $$) of a very few others.
The obvious greed in Events these days also leave a sour taste in the game, resulting in being here less and less, and the loss of many players.

Should you ever 'wise up' from all the myriad of posts from so many of your 'customers'.....this game could once again regain its past unmatched popularity and Fun- and come soaring back to its previous glory!

Fun games are worth spending money to play - greedy stressful ones...not so much.

I just Harvested my Field of Lablab Beans, it is going to take me about 48 Hours just to get all the secret messages to unlock the 2nd Event Crop at best if i am luck only get to task 11 if possible no way on earth anyone can get to Task 12

In my view this Event should be set to Impossible Setting

I agree with all Farmers how disappointed they are with this event and me too

I am beginning to wonder if BP actually care about it Paying Customers i know for certain BP is not appreciating us as they should

Once again The game developers and BP actually reading and listening to our feedbacks i dont think so

What is the point of bring back events that had little or no positive feedbacks and done nothing to make adjustments to ensure we enjoy doing this events >:(:wuerg::cry:>:(:wuerg::cry:

Once again we feel we are being taken for granted YOU ARE ACTUALLY PUTTING US OFF DOING THIS EVENTS !!!!>:(>:(>:(

Why is this even a 2 part event? The first part is enough to cater for the Hard Difficulty category.

I'm serious. Most people either didn't get the first part finished or barely did, the last time you ran it (which was only 3 months ago). I should finish level 6 to get the cloud row but that's using SG and a long crop to get the drops. On a 7 hour crop that gives 20-40 drops for a whole field, it is impossible to obtain anywhere near the amount of drops to reach the ridiculous requirement of 1090 drops to complete THE FIRST HALF.

And to run the Pirate giving event at the same time...? is anybody actually utilising that? We need the event drops.
Would you like a link to an online dictionary to work out the definitions of "medium - hard" difficulty? You need to re-label this event Hard - Impossible.

Next time you run this event, I'm would like to think I won't bother participating unless the drop numbers have been drastically altered.

To refresh your memories, here is the link to the feedback for Cave Expecations Event - you will find most of the comments similar. Feedback - Cave Excavation | Farmerama EN

I totally agree with the above comments. On the previous 2 occasions this game mechanism has been met with the same response which you have totally ignored.

Ok BP a little test which can be rated as 'easy' or 'hard'. Going by your past BP I know which option you will take.
There is more or less 55 hours of this event left. Out of goodwill, if you have any, why dont you run a script to give us the drops and some crops to complete the event or enough to include the harvests left to complete. I know if you do not acknowledge our feedback then you do not care.

I have a few friends who run businesses and the one thing they keep saying is do not allienate and ignore your customers as without them you may as well give up. During the past 18 months or so that is all you have done.

I have not posted much in that time as I thought no give BP the benefit of the doubt, how wrong I was in thinking you care about your PAYING customers. During that time the events have not been fun, some you have toyally destroyed eg fishing event, prizes have become pathetic.

Sorry to be so scathing but you ask for feedback and everytime you ignore it that is why people have left in droves and Im on the verge of joining them.

Finnish proverb: "In its songs you sing whose bread you eat."

The company's focus on operations has changed with the change of owner.
The purchase price needs to be collected from the players and there has been a clash of game culture.

    - 2016 Chinese games and media Publisher Youzu Interactive acquires Bigpoint.
    - 2017 Brian Morrisroe has been appointed new Managing Director. Focus on mobile development.
    - 2019 Jeff Lu takes over as Bigpoint’s new Managing Director.
    - 2020 Bigpoint under new management: Qin Liu becomes new Managing Director.

2020 The level of events has fallen further and drop policy has deteriorated.
What could be the reason for this?

It just makes you wonder. o_O

What the point of these changing of Managering Directors whom fail in their Job Description to boost revenues tp keep players Happy not even bother to read all over feedbacks and understand our frustration with Each Event we not had an Event that be revamped to keep us happy, we would certainly spend more money on this game if we get things that help us enjoy Farming :p

I agree with all the comments of my commenting friends. The monetization policy has outstripped the entertainment policy. This policy will put the end of the game.

    Note for BP:
We see that you don't care about our opinions. Of course, you are free to ignore our opinions. But there is one fact that you forget: We are free to decide how much to play. I play as much as I have fun. I do as much as I can. I don't care if I haven't been able to raise it. I do not intend to invest any more money in this game. (Unless the policy changes)

I did not finish the first event like this but thought I would try again in the hope that BP had listened to the feed back the first time around. Apparently they did not.
Drops were terrible! Finished the crops (northward flower) but had nowhere close to the drops needed to get the cloud row even thou I was planting long growing crops over night. During the weekend I broke down & used SG on ixora to get enough drops for the cloud row. I did finally get enough for the cloud row but there was no way I was going to get enough drops or tropical cork to finish event.
I have started sitting out events lately & next time this format comes back I am not even going to try.
I used to love Farmerama but lately it is becoming a chore - not fun any more.

In this thread on the EN forum, everyone is (apparently) in agreement that BP knows nothing but greed and doesn't care about its players.

But on other forums, players are having debates among themselves about whether the problem is BP's greed or players' unrealistic expectations for what a free-to-play game like Farmerama can deliver.

    A couple of examples:
    ONE
    TWO

And here's a nice little statement from one of the mods over at the HU forum (emphasis mine):

We have reached the end of the Treasure Hunt - May 2021 event, so the chat closes its gates.

Many of our players got the cloud, and many got to the end of the whole event. And those who don’t should think about what they should have done differently, as our prominent teammates helped their peers with plenty of good advice and tactical opportunities.

The harmony of objectives and opportunities has always been an important factor in a game, you and that your joy may be included in order, we must find the balance. We’ve been enriched with more prizes and experience, but the chariot goes on.

My thoughts exactly. This is why I've been playing Farmerama for as long as I have - BP is always giving me a reason to improve and getting me to think about what I could have done differently. They give me plenty of opportunities to get what I need and I just have to take advantage of them. No reason to improve? No reason to play. That's my philosophy when it comes to gaming, anyway.
