Breeding event spread over 3 weekends:

Topiary Mystery Quest I (Mammal breeding):

Starts: Friday, 1st of September at 10:00 CET (UTC+2)
Ends: Sunday, 3rd of September at 22:00 CET (UTC+2)

4 levels with 3 tasks each (Silver/Gold/Diamond)

minimum requirements to get the Dashing Dolphin Giver (2 options available):

Option 1:

level 1 (silver+gold+diamond) = 195000 barn value worth of mainland animals and breeding animals
level 2 (silver only) = 40 mammal badges
level 3 (silver+gold+diamond) = 280000 barn value worth of mainland animals and breeding animals
level 4 (silver+gold) = 115 mammal badges

Total = 475000 barn value worth of mainland animals and breeding animals + 155 mammal badges

Option 2:

level 1 (silver+gold+diamond) = 195000 barn value worth of mainland animals and breeding animals
level 2 (silver+gold+diamond) = 40 mammal badges + 30 raccoons
level 3 (silver only) = 40000 barn value worth of mainland animals and breeding animals
level 4 (silver+gold) = 115 mammal badges

Total = 235000 barn value worth of mainland animals and breeding animals + 155 mammal badges + 30 raccoons

Fully completing the event:

Total = 475000 barn value worth of mainland animals and breeding animals + 170 mammal badges + 30 raccoons

This will reward a second Dashing Dolphin Giver + 1 Crate O'Neon Stables


Topiary Mystery Quest II (Reptile breeding):

Starts: Friday, 8th of September at 10:00 CET (UTC+2)
Ends: Sunday, 10th of September at 22:00 CET (UTC+2)

4 levels with 3 tasks each (silver/gold/diamond)

minimum requirements to get the Cool Crocodile Giver (2 options available)

Option 1:

level 1 (silver+gold+diamond) = 175000 barn value worth of mainland animals and breeding animals
level 2 (silver only) = 30 reptile badges
level 3 (silver+gold+diamond) = 280000 barn value worth of mainland animals and breeding animals
level 4 (silver+gold) = 100 reptile badges

Total = 455000 barn value worth of mainland animals and breeding animals + 130 reptile badges

Option 2:

level 1 (silver+gold+diamond) = 175000 barn value worth of mainland animals and breeding animals
level 2 (silver+gold+diamond) = 30 reptile badges + 45 tortoises
level 3 (silver only) = 40000 barn value worth of mainland animals and breeding animals
level 4 (silver+gold) = 100 reptiles badges

Total = 215000 barn value worth of mainland animals and breeding animals + 130 reptile badges + 45 tortoises

Fully completing the event:

Total = 455000 barn value worth of mainland animals and breeding animals + 155 reptile badges + 45 tortoises

This will reward a second Cool Crocodile Giver only.


Topiary Mystery Quest III (Fish breeding):

Starts: Friday, 15th of September at 10:00 CET (UTC+2)
Ends: Sunday, 17th of September at 22:00 CET (UTC+2)

4 levels and 3 tasks each (silver/gold/diamond)

minimum requirements to get the Outstanding Octopus + cloudrow (2 options available)

Option 1:

level 1 (silver+gold+diamond) = 175000 barn value worth of mainland animals and breeding animals
level 2 (silver only) = 25 fish badges
level 3 (silver+gold+diamond) = 280000 barn value worth of mainland animals and breeding animals
level 4 (silver+gold) = 60 fish badges

Total = 455000 barn value worth of mainland animals and breeding animals + 85 fish badges

Option 2:

level 1 (silver+gold+diamond) = 175000 barn value worth of mainland animals and breeding animals
level 2 (silver+gold+diamond) = 25 fish badges + 60 boxfishes
level 3 (silver only) = 40000 barn value worth of mainland animals and breeding animals
level 4 (silver+gold) = 60 fish badges

Total = 215000 barn value worth of mainland animals and breeding animal + 85 fish badges + 60 boxfishes

Fully completing the event:

455000 barn value worth of mainland animals and breeding animals + 110 fish badges + 60 boxfishes

This will reward a second Outstanding Octopus + 1 Crate O'Neon Stables

I think I'm going to try to do these on the three usual farms. I am not seeing where we are getting any kind of a baby boom tomorrow, so may hold off and hope for a short timed one on Sunday. Y'all know I don't like to wait, but in this instance, I may not have a choice.

I'm in but without a BB and Happy Harvest Discount, I won't have enough PF to complete all three weekend events - but we shall see.

Yay...discount day and baby boom coincide on Sunday! Now to just force myself to hold off until then. I hate waiting.

Skips. Um, I'm pretty sure that natural skips are a thing of the past. Those deluxe pheromones are the only way and even then, hen's teeth. Of course, this could also be because we've been playing so long we really don't need anything but the last level or two of breedings so we're jaded to boot.

Edited to add: Powerfeed. If you're short on PF here's my tips.

#1: if you aren't milling desperately needed food on the mainland, always be milling PF. Literally, always. I often max out the number (it's 12 if you have 650 water capacity) and fill the mill slots and let 'er go for days. Use the baha mill for event milling.

#2: There's PF in a lot of crates. Generally, I save crates (I don't know how, see first paragraph of this post) and I open all the breeding related crates at the start of a breeding event.

#3: Farm Coins: It's a new month. Don't forget that the farm coin store resets on the first of every month, there's 140 PF available to us every month in the Shop-o-Rama.

#4: Wheel spins. Both kinds. My farms generally get a lot of free spins from crates and cloud rows, so it's hard not to max out, gotta finesse that - don't open all those spin crates at once. Spend some time with that cute lil' piggie and his tractor - should get you a few more PF.

 

Holding off not a problem for me this time, going to be leaving for the day shortly so farm for me until sometime tonight, probably same tomorrow. Sunday is perfect. bunny, I agree, good skips so rare I don't even pay attention that much anymore to my results, just stick 'em in the shack, percolate, throw 'em to the event beast, repeat. (I also am not a good waiter, too impatient)

Did get one skip that was useful, the K9 top dog! Only a couple of steps but I did need it so wahoo!

 

I never get good skips like this, ever. Even when I use deluxe pheromones, the results are always dissapointing.

Loaded the shack with reptiles too, I do wish that the reptile insigna could be a little easier to find: how come the breeding section doesn't have options in the search menu for each breeding category?

 

Just came here to remind everyone to load their breeding hut with reptiles today for next weekend's quest.

All done on 5 farms with this weekend's quest. Really wasn't difficult since I had the breeding huts full from the last discount day.

 

Finished the first weekend event this morning. Thank you to everyone for detailed information and helpful tips. I didn't realize we could do breeding in advance so I'll use remaining PF to prepare for next weekend. I don't have enough PF to complete all that's needed, but hope to pick up more during the week and maybe we'll be lucky and have another discount day next weekend! Quick question: Can we breed Baha reptiles for this event and get the reptile badges? - Thanks Wisdom Tree for 'yes' response!

Another question: I am limited to 132 breedings. Is there a way to increase this, or is there a set limit for all players?- Again, thanks to Wisdom Tree for the link. I learned a lot and it answered many questions!
