My funniest memory. (it happened on the Dutch forum), which I think back on every year, is April Fools' Day when molehills suddenly appeared in the field. Stables, crops, everything collapsed. It was the first time a prank had been pulled, so no one was prepared. The whole forum went crazy; of course, people caught on, but they also continued to make a fuss. They had to find nets to catch the moles, but they were under the manure pile, and that had to be dug up, preferably shovel by shovel. The market was flooded with manure because everyone was selling, and of course, the nets weren't found. Shovels were brought out of the shed to hit the moles on the head, which was obviously impossible, and the baskets for the paint factory, which hadn't been in use for very long, were used to catch them. You can imagine we had so much fun. That day I fall of my chair from laughing . I will never forget how much fun we had together.

My weirder story is actually about a farm that never really left me.
Back in the day, before life got “serious,” I was a proper Farmerama worker. Logging in daily, planning crops, timing harvests like it actually mattered in the real world. My little digital fields were organized, my animals fed, my trees perfectly placed. It sounds silly, but I took pride in it. That farm was...well, mine.
Then 2014 happened. University. Moving to another country. New language, new people, new pressure. Real responsibilities replaced virtual ones, and my farm just kinda stayed there. Waiting. I didn’t make a big decision to quit. I just stopped showing up.
But the funny thing is, I never really left.
Every now and then, usually during some chaotic or lonely period, I’d log back in “just to see.” And there it would be: the same land, the same music, the same ridiculous crops and animals that made no sense but somehow felt familiar. Like opening a door to a version of me that still had time, still felt safe, still believed everything would work out.
I think the reason it hits so deep is because it was never just a game. I used to play online with my mum when I was younger. Same house, different screens, talking about harvests and events like they were important missions. It was our thing. So every time I go back, it’s not only nostalgia for childhood; it’s nostalgia for us, for that time, for that feeling of being home without even realizing it.
So yeah, my “life game” is a colourful browser farm. Out of all the things I’ve started and stopped in life, that’s the one I keep returning to. Not because of the rewards or the levels, but because some part of me is still that kid farming with his mum, and logging in feels like visiting my long lost childhood again.

After a competition on the forum, which I don't even remember, the postman brought a package to my house. It contained the Farmerama board game. So I can farm even if the internet and electricity go out. :music:

One of first things I remember from my farming career only 15 years ago, is the rain, which ruined crops if you did not use manure. I often logged out if it was raining and returned some other time hoping for better weather.

I remember the weeds. If you didn't harvest your crops within a certain period of time (24 hrs?) not only would the crops be lost, they would turn into weeds and you had to clear each plot of land before you could plant anything else. Very frustrating - so glad that part of the game got the axe!

We Finns switched to Farmerama (not all) in November-December during Farmerama's first year. Our own Finnish game stopped updating.
I've enjoyed Farmerama over the years. The only downside is that my husband wonders how I'm still doing it.
The first shock in the game was when aliens emerged from the fields.

Oh, memories... Cobwebs ruining the trees, a nostalgic truck taking from the farm to the market, and Air miles...
Also a blender that let you create a buff with an unexpected result. And an event when we had fields full of blenders...

The event that made me laugh the most was 2024 April's fool when the most hilarious messages like this "Devs: Fixed 99 little bugs, recompiled, now 101 little bug" would pop up over the screen. I was laughing so hard!!! That event really made my day and a good number of days afterwards.
It still makes me smile every time I think of it. As @davidb1yth007 has adapted a "Worst event ever" signature ever since xD, I believe that that April's fool event has touched so many of us on so many levels. Now every time I think that I do not like an event it comes back to me with its funny little prompts and dampens the desire to complain, softening that emotion. It becomes more of an "Ok, lets wait and see, let's try and see, maybe it's ok, maybe you'll like it later" This was the case with a number of over-complicated events recently. So yes, I think that the 2024 April's fool event left a mark, whether it was intended or unintended.
I would like to hope that whoever came with that idea got a bonus or promotion ;).

A somewhat fond memory for me is regarding the kiwi stall and Level 100.

I remember being so happy to win my first kiwi stall not long after I started playing this wonderful game.

I loved the look of this stall, and still do, and it was exciting to win a new animal pen that couldn't be bought with CCs. I went straight to the mill to make some feed for my new little critter, only to discover that I had to be at level 100 to access the laurel to make its food.

I felt somewhat disappointed with this as Level 100, at this stage of my game play, seemed soooooo far away.

Back then, I remember that kiwi food was expensive in the market so I had to spend a small fortune in order to keep my new little critter happily fed.

Time went on...slowly...then I finally reached Level 100. Back then there were no high EP givers, so advancing in levels required much patience.

As soon as I reached Level 100, I went straight to the market to buy some laurel (as the shop was more expensive), then I happily headed to the mill to finally make my little kiwi friend some home made food!!!!!

I feel like I truly grew up alongside Farmerama. I started playing almost 16 years ago, I was here almost from the start, back when my days were very different and logging in to my little farm felt like opening the door to a familiar, happy place. I still remember planting my first crops, being excited over every new animal pen, and carefully planning harvest times so I wouldn’t miss anything. Back then, I had no idea this game would become such a long-term companion in my life.

Over the years, Farmerama was always there through school days(I even nicely asked my technology teacher to let me harvest one time, I will never forget, the school psychologist suggest him to let me do it cuz it's actually beneficial for my development to play games haha, late nights, busy periods, and quiet moments. The game changed and evolved, just like I did, but that cozy farming feeling never left. Events, challenges, forum chats, and even the occasional farming mistake became memories I look back on fondly. Sometimes I’d take breaks, but I always came back — the farm was waiting, just like an old friend.
Now, 16 years later, it’s amazing to see how far Farmerama has come and how many memories it holds for me. This game isn’t just about crops and animals; it’s about time, growth, and joy shared with a community across the world. Happy 16th Birthday, Farmerama — thank you for being part of my life for so long

I was lucky enough to join the Farmerama game back in August 2016 when mentoring was still a thing! The first event that I encountered was the soccer/football where sooo many cool prizes were offered: wonder trees and stall from all three worlds. The first wonder tree I sowed in Moonlight Mania turned to a Grave Candle Cactus and I was so happy about it.

My mentor was flooding me with gifts everyday, an Aussie that was just the nicest to have as a mentor! Without their help, I would have quit right away. The first few months I'd harvest every 1x1 fields manually to get the maximum out of harvest... and I was sowing lettuce, carrots, wheat & al!!o_O:eek: I couldn't understand why people would play a game that would ask thousands of clicks per day... Until I saw the monthly harvester subscription!

I've seen so many great people on the forum, that is what makes this game so much fun!

I joined Dec. 2016. It's been a fun ten years. Every time I've achieved a new stable or visited a new land it has been a great feeling of accomplishment. I don't think I would have been such a dedicated farmer in real life. I hated the weeds and were pleased when they went away. Opening the cloud row was a major accomplishment I didn't think I would ever get and then I did. The same with edelweiss. I decided I wanted to achieve it and worked to get it. I'm still waiting on some new stable or tree, but looking forward to the journey.

As we come together to celebrate farming together for 16 years, it isn't just one memory, but a large collection of them. One memory prompts another and then another.

I found Farmerama during a very medically difficult time in my life, and the friends I made here were a lifeline. We've shared many ups and downs through the years. I fondly remember events, personal goals like being able to make my own CAC, a field full of beautiful Christmas trees, the hunt for Pink duck ponds because it was my favorite pink stable and I enjoyed watching the bridal duck swim in the water with her veil flowing behind her, the hunt for pink stables being upgraded to Neons, preparing for Harvest Hoedown (Fall Festival) with a small group of friends, and Gift and Trade which remains my favorite event. I was blessed with such kindness and generosity with no expectation of anything in return, and I have tried to respond in kind.

I remember the summer evenings in chat with friends, the camaraderie here in the forum full of strategy suggestions and help along the way not just with the game, but support and encouragement through life's ups and downs as well. We have celebrated together and seen friends who left the game and went on to other things in their lives and they are wished all the very best. We've also had to say goodbye to dear friends and they live on in our hearts and memories.

We've laughed and cried together. We've enjoyed new content. We survived the change from Adobe Flash to Unity. We've enjoyed forum games while we waited for our crops to grow. We've laughed over April Fools pranks. We've counted crops and drops together. The memories are endless, and the emotional bonds are timeless.

The friends I have made here have become family. To each of you, I say thank you. Thank you for making this game part of my daily life. You are dear to me and I hope we can all celebrate many more Farmerama birthdays together.

At just over four years, I'm still a novice. I migrated to Farmerama at the suggestion of a long-playing member, who also at the time, played my former farming game. That game switched platforms and I didn't want to follow, so followed my friend's advice to try Farmerama. Initially it was a steep learning curve for me as so many things were different.

One of the things I most appreciate about Farmerama is the Forum. It took me quite a while to learn to use it, and I soon made the mistake of double posting! This lead me to be 'banned' for 24 hours, and I had no idea at the time what I'd done wrong as the concept of double posting was a new one. Thankfully, at least in that area, I proved to be a quick learner!

Now four years later, I find myself opening a brand new to me area: Edelweiss Valley. Once again, total novice. But my many farming friends come to my rescue and patiently explain - in the most simple terms - how to move forward.

I truly appreciate the Forum, the mods and tech team, and all players who truly feel like friends. Your kindness, dedication, selflessness, and sense of humor make this the best farm game I ever played (and I played many over the years). I thank you for continuing to make this a place where all are welcome. Happy Birthday, Farmerama! Please give yourself a pat on the back for another great year and best wishes for many more to come! :inlove:

It's been 8 years since I joined this amazing community. Sometimes I had to taking. Ie long breaks due to health issues or mov started playing on Tuesdays and couldn't finish the events for a long time, but I always had neighbors and friends ready to help, as well as experienced players guiding me. I'm so grateful to all of them. My Farmerama adventure significantly impacted my life. My house had a garden, and first a cat, then a dog, sheep, chickens, ducks – my house turned into a real Farmerama. Four years passed very enjoyably, but it was time to move. Unfortunately, we had to give them away because our new house didn't have a garden. This was very difficult and sad for us, of course, but Farmerama was always there for me, comforting me. If I hadn't started this game, I would never have had these wonderful memories. Thank you so much for touching my life, FARMERAMA! Happy birthday! And a big thank you to the entire Farmerama team who work so hard to provide us with the best possible gaming experience.ıd54801349

I wanted to share another tragicomic moment I haven't forgotten. I was growing plants for an event, both in the main field and in the Bahamara field. I had to get up several times during the night for the harvest, so one night I set my alarm for 3:00 AM and woke up to harvest my plants. It was a cold winter day. I had finished harvesting my plants in the main field and was about to plant them in the Bahamara field when the electricity suddenly went out. I waited for about an hour – I don't like to give up – and finally the electricity came back on. I was able to plant the plants and went back to bed. id:54801349

Eight years ago, I joined Farmerama for the first time with the confidence of a complete beginner and the skill set to match—meaning I clicked the wrong buttons, made avoidable mistakes, and learned very quickly how not to play. What kept me going, though, was the community: patient players who explained tough mechanics, offered guidance when levels felt impossible, and even surprised me with in-game gifts that felt like small celebrations of progress.
There was also that unforgettable moment :pxDwhen all my hard-earned country coins were accidentally spent on buying an extremely expensive breeding bat(Sporty Bat)—entirely unplanned—after which I sat staring at the screen in equal parts shock and disbelief; you can imagine the rest. Over time, trial and error turned into strategy, frustration into curiosity, and the game became a steady, enjoyable hobby rather than a passing distraction. The habit of learning—asking questions, accepting feedback, and trying again after a spectacular failure—has quietly spilled into real life too. Turns out persistence levels up outside the game as well, and without any microtransactions.

In the early days, I repeatedly failed to even find the Moonlight Event, and as for the regular or limited-time events, completing them felt like a distant dream—ah, those days still make me smile and sigh at the same time. Despite all that, reaching level 100 turned out to be the biggest achievement, and after that it was a clear case of “onward and upward.” Things are still not effortless even now, but they are nowhere near as difficult as they once were.

What truly makes this game special is the people: kind, generous, helpful players, mods and game team always ready to help without expecting anything in return. I haven’t forgotten those familiar faces who used to be regulars but, for one reason or another, are no longer around; sometimes that absence stings, but I suppose that’s just how life works. Through all the learning, stumbling, and growing—both in-game and beyond—this journey has been worth it.

    Happy 16th birthday, Farmerama! :inlove::inlove::D:D
