Cannot 'use' reward tools

Greetings! I am happy that I was able to complete enough of the timed event to receive 167 tools but I am unable to access them. I have tried to 'use' them when in the main farm area and nothing happens. Is this a glitch?

You should be able to use them without problems. Could you please be so kind and try clearing your browser cache and cookies as well , then please clear your Flash cache too, this should solve the glitch you are experiencing too. Then, make sure you are on the main lands, and check under the Deco / Consumables tab to use the tools.

Apologies for butting in Teddy, but your response confuses me. There have never been tools of any kind involved in this game that are accessible through the decorations tab, and looking on the FAQ, it doesn't seem like any prizes from this event should or would be found there. The only "tool" prizes for this event are toolbox items (up to 500) which, as I said in my post (now missing - perhaps deleted?) can be used in the workshop - but are not found in the deco tab. The only other option I can see is the combs - which, again, are needed to build workshops and are not found in the deco tab. If anything they would be found in the barn under "other", but cannot be used from there.

Unless I have missed something crucial in the FAQ, I don't understand why you're saying tools will be found and can be used from the deco tab, when they cannot - and never have been?

Here is a quote from the current event FAQ:

The tools from the event are listed as Toolbox items in the Deco section of the inventory, Consumables category - and the Chicken pet harvested tools also sneak in there but that is just a glitch.

I hope this helps - we know it's confusing and different than the way we are used to, but it is how the Comic 8 rewards work.
