Hi FB! I can spare only 3,000 peaches at the moment, but if you are interested, they may help a bit on your request.

P.S. THIS is the thread I was looking for - but couldn't find! Thank you for posting, FB.:)

For those interested in stocking up on trees for the Harvest Hoedown, I have listed Baha trees by the thousands, MARKET 40, 1st page & most likely 2nd pages by now.

This is the first time I've done this, so if my prices are too much/too little, please post your fair, informative feedback. Thank you!

I will surely buy them. FYI, this farm needs a total of 17,000 more at the moment. The farm is trying to get back to 1 million peaches.

The farm buys tree fruit and must have a total of 30 million different fruits.
I never see your name so I do not know to buy from you.

Still need about 161,000 cornflowers. Will buy all or part.
    Market 40

The broke Empire is now hiring a grain producer. MARKET 40. Need immediately.

The most efficient method for anyone seeking to compete in the final competition of the Harvest Hoedown is to buy donation items on a rate basis. The rate is base on a percentage of the EV. I have a maximum rate and will not buy any tree fruit or other donation item for .01 cc more.

I always buy low priced items because of efficiency. Sometimes I will go through the tree fruit market and the crop market and buy anything at or below my set rate.

I say the above because if you are selling above the rates set by others for their hoedown purchases then they most likely will not buy and your items will be returned to your barn.

Now for a tree fruit such as the peach! I do not expect to be able to buy peaches for anywhere near my Hoedown buy-rate (no plans to participate in the Hoedown anyway). I know that I must pay more than my buy-rate. And I will.

Anyone buying the peach today for donation in a final Hoedown competition does not know what they are doing and I will wonder of their logic and knowledge of this game.

Hi FB! Thank you for your informative post! :)

I'm not interested in competing in the Hoedown, as I had entered a baby farm a few years back that made the top ten, (just barely!:oops:o_O) back when it was still feasible to do so. Nowadays, I prefer not to destroy my farm...for What?!

Just thought I'd offer some trees to those who might be interested in trying for it, but am not sure how much to offer them for, so I just listed them lower than the lowest price, keeping in mind that it might lower the Mkt rate if they were too low.
I feel that I need more guidance in this regard. I'd like to help, but not ruin the market for others.

You mentioned 'buy rates'...is there a way to know what these are overall so as to sell accordingly??

Please IGM me re: Peaches. :)

Thank you again farmer_broke! Your knowledge of this game is encyclopedic!:)

The Pug in the Manger giver was awarded in the Frisbee Dog Competition in May 2017. This wasn't the Harvest Hoedown we all know and love where we donate goods from the barn, but a different competition that involved donating mill products (event crops + drops).

Your baby farm Lily_pink finished at #31 in the 81 - 85 level bracket with a deposit of 66.00. SOURCE

Thanks for the research on 'Pug in the Manger', zerodegrees. I have no memory at all of "Frisbee Dog Competition", but will take your word that it came from there.

I do, however, have memories of Lily_Pink's efforts and sacrifices in the Harvest Hoedown, even though I have forgotten what the prizes were, as the Prizes were incidental and not my reasons for entering the Hoedown. I managed to reach #10 right at the end, but didn't stay there long.

And did you make it to the TOP1000?

I checked all lists from previous hoedowns and haven't been able to locate your farm

I couldn't find it in the top ten myself, so I assume that I was knocked out at the last donations. It's o.k., though. Knowing I made it that far, even though it didn't last at the end, is enough for me.
It was a baby farm, Lily_Pink, and it gave all I was willing to sacrifice.
If it helps, it was the year that was spoken of on the Forum as not too many people(relatively speaking) were entering, so I thought I'd give it a try.

Will you be entering it this year, esca?

If Lily_pink had managed to reach #10 right at the end and got pushed out last minute, it should still show up among the Top 500, 1000, or 3000. The list does move around in the final hours but not that much...

However, like escalonilla, I couldn't locate your baby farm on any of the Top 500/1000/3000 lists for previous Harvest Hoedowns - not just in the top 10 but anywhere. That's why I pulled up your quote about the Pug in the Manger giver.

Well, something is amiss. I didn't donate most of my baby farm to the garbage disposal, and that's for sure. That was a very good farm.

While it seems improbable to be pushed down that far, I'm disappointed to hear it. We all know how much can be donated at the last minute or two, so I must accept that it may actually have been pushed that far.
I do recall talk that year of some of the really "Big hitters" holding back till the very end, to hold the amount of donations down, and then throwing it all in at the last moment - but I thought that was just 'talk'.

I've been trying to remember the numbers, but I only got a quick look back then, and the only numbers that come to mind are a3 and a 9, but I don't know if they were at the beginning, the middle, or the end.

Have you been able to recall that year when our forum was abuzz with talk of fewer people entering? I would like to check personally, if someone wouldn't mind showing me how to access that year.

I really appreciate all the efforts made to locate my number. I haven't really thought much about it, but now you have my curiosity up.

I competed in 4 Harvest Hoedowns between 2016 and 2019. If it was possible for you to go from #10 to beyond 500/1000/3000 in the last few minutes, I highly doubt I would've made the list at all.

I'm afraid not. To be perfectly honest, I have no idea what you're talking about... I don't remember any year where the Harvest Hoedown was any easier than the previous year, or any talk about fewer people entering the competition.

You can see the lists for years 2012 - 2019 here.

No problem. Your post piqued my curiosity because it would've been hard to forget an EN forum member making into the top 10, even if it was just for a moment - with a baby farm, no less! But I literally had no memory of any of your farms even participating in the competition.

Today I have no intention of ever returning again. The En Forum now has respected competitors and I have no need to prepare just in case they face troubles.

You cannot begin to imagine the personal reward felt while cheering others on who has relied on information gained from my experiences.

First, commit to yourself that you will compete the best you can with the time you have,
Second, ask others and willingly and genuinely accept their support
Third, be prepared to enjoy a few moments in the limelight

Most importantly, remain humble and you will enjoy being a true winner!

Thank you farmer_broke. What you say is, of course, true.

I would add a few other observations...

Not everyone needs or requires the accolades incumbent with this extreme all or nothing Event. Just to see what you can do from a farm you have created is sometimes enough.

It was enough for me, as I am basically a shy person, though I will speak my mind when truth is called for.
When I entered the Hoedown with Lily_Pink I told no one, as I was just doing it to see how far I could get - on my own steam - as I normally am inclined to do. Lily_Pink was becoming an amazing farm and it was fun to see just what she could do.
Unfortunately, I never rebuilt her, though I do still visit once in a while. She gave her all, and I am proud of her.

That will not change whether or not people are able to remember each and every one of the thousands worldwide who have quietly participated.

Edit: zerodegrees, I have used the link you kindly provided above to check the list, but it only went to the end of 2000. Is there a way to check into 3000? Considering the huge number of players Worldwide, it is a possibility....and now you have my curiosity up.
    Thank you.

Thank you Zerodegrees for putting up the link for past HH competitions.
Wow, it was 5 years ago that I put up a Top 100 finish !!! 91st
It took me a year to recover from that (no complaints).
After a gap year, it now comes back to me, I had two mediocre years concentrating mostly on Events and Quests.
This year I decided in about March to compete and started tracking my inventory in June.
Wish me luck in 2020 as I burn down the barn.

PM me if you are in Market 16 to set up a time/date... I've got 170 Million CCs to spend.

If I were at level 225, where we get the buckwheat I would go for it.
Its EV is 814 and with the amount of SG and Party tickets I have, I could easily get 2.5 million seeds (with the SG love refinement).
But I'm just at level 217 and I don't want to place givers all over the farm. Leveling up does not interest me anymore.

I could sell my barn out and get tree fruit. But again, I dont find this appealing.

I'm happy with the two times I made it back in 2012 and 2014.

@zerodegrees have you been able to find the 2010 list?
I checked everywhere but I've found very few pieces of information.

Thanks to the super convenient filter built into the in-game list which shows all participants from the same country, it's very easy to keep track of even the shy and quiet ones during HH. I check this filter for all three EN countries multiple times during the event, looking for any names that I recognize from the forum. Lily_pink is definitely a name that would've caught my eye but I do not recall seeing her anywhere near the top of the list at any point in time during the event. Guess I just have a terrible memory... Oh well.

Btw, I found this post by Lily_pink where you said the main reason you made it up to #20 (at the time) in the Frisbee Dog Competition was because you were in an easy level bracket with fewer players. Perhaps that is why you "remember" HH being more feasible that one year when there weren't as many people entering?

Which year are you looking at? The link I provided shows the list for 2019 and it goes all the way to 3000 for me. Try reloading or viewing it in another browser?

Best of luck, Banjoman! I'll be rooting for you from the sidelines! :)

No, best I could find was a partial list of German players with names only.

If you are looking in the year 2019, you never will find it.

As I have previously mentioned, I thought it was most likely in 2016 or 2017, not sure which. And judging by the huge donations at the last few minutes, I could very well have been knocked down into the 3000's.
Do you have a link I could use for those 2 years going down to the end of the 3,000's? Or check more thoroughly yourself for those years?

What year was the 'Frisbee Dog Competition" you mentioned? Was it concurrent with the 2016 or 2017 Hoedown or near it, that you continue to try to convince me that I do not remember what I do remember about an entirely different event?

I do really appreciate your trying to find where I did finally place, and I hope you finally do - but to share my honest opinion, these negative insinuations are becoming tiresome.
Truth is more important to me than you would possibly imagine, as I have a sworn Legal oath before God and men to be truthful in ALL things - and THAT is more important to me than any possible game or part thereof.

I have shared my honest memories with you to the very best of my ability. That is all I can do.
So keep looking if it makes you happy, and I will still respectfully consider what you have to say.
It would be decent if you would do the same for me.
