    can anyone give me information on how the game works im level 8 but all seems very slow on how things are done?

    sow, harvest, sow harvest - repeat as many times as you can... :p

    There are also quest to do - you'll find them on the top of the menu to the left, the scroll and the quill.
    Sometime, or rather almost always, there's an event going on. Events are short time missions,which you can chose to participate in.
    As you level up you will get access to more crop, more trees and more animal stables. And fields.
